Great Friday night $5 martinis and the Arancini appetizer was excellent. I was surprised to find small onion bits on my Chicken piccata but it was excellent otherwise. The servers were very attentive.

We decided to give Vinnie's a try based on the great reviews on trip adviser. I saw spaghetti and sausage and meatballs topped with "Sunday Gravy". This brought back some great memories of my Italian Mom and Grandma spending every Sunday making gravy. It was an all day process. The meal was delicious and the portions were large. I thoroughly... When we think Italian, which we do fairly often, we immediately think of Vinnie's. Excellent food, great service and very reasonable prices. Their pizza is hands down the best we've found in Asheville so far. I understand they have been voted Best Italian Restaurant in Asheville 6 years in a row now! That should tell you pretty much all you... More

Not always sure about reviews but do think I've never had better. Great atmosphere. We had pretty much decided what we wanted before our server arrived. They were both two of about five he suggested. I had the Spaghetti w/"Sunday Gravy" and my wife had the Flounder Picatta. Both were delicious and the portions were large. We both agreed we... More

I guess this restaurant has such high ratings because the area is not used to authentic Italian food. If this restaurant were in New York City or New Jersey it would be a dime a dozen. Our party was told about a 30 minute wait that turned into an hour. Once seated it was a two-hour affair waiting for mediocre... More

My son brought me here for Mother's Day because I wanted an informal, neighborhood restaurant with great food. Exactly what we got. The front of the house was definitely neighborhood in feel, but we were glad to be taken to a quiet room less energetic! The food was excellent, the service good and we would definitely return.

The best Italian I've ever had!! Portions are so large. If ordering a pizza, you'll definitely have a lot left over. The pizza was delicious! While eating we couldn't stop saying "Ohhhh, sooo good!" My husband had sausage, spaghetti gravy which he raved about. Each of my teens had the baked ziti and loved it I had the chicken parmigiana... More

I've got to tell you, Trip Advisor writers are missing something here in Asheville. I admit that I haven't eaten anywhere else yet, but Vinnie's has to be #1 because it has too much to be rated any lower. My wife and I walked in to a nice Italian greeting of "Hey!!!!" Talk about feeling special. We were greeted by... More

We recently relocated to Asheville and wanted to take a guest out for Italian food. This was our first visit to Vinnie’s, and we loved it so much that we joined their Goomba Club on the spot. James, our waiter, was friendly and offered many good suggestions for food and wine. In fact, he let us sample three different red... More

Like so many restaurants in Asheville, dogs are welcome in outdoor dining areas. Food was average. Mussels in appetizer were very small but tasted ok in white wine broth. Pasta Bolognese was somewhat bland. Calzones were huge-puffed up nicely. Understand tiramisu is great but didn't try it. Service was good. Outside was accessible to wheelchairs. May struggle with parking on... More
