Four of us went to dinner, one a native Italian. Got seated right away, was not a busy spot. Ordered wine and relaxed while reviewing menu. Ordered, so far so good. Expected bread in an Italian restaurant - since none was presented, asked waitress who went to computer to enter bread, when she returned with bread we asked if a... More

Five of us dined in early October 2016. The pasta was very good as was the steak. The fish (two of us had Branzino - whole chilean bass) was mediocre at best. Mild but not much flavor. The eggplant was lousy and the chef served the end piece - a major no-no at better restaurants. The pork chop also was... More

This was quite a pleasant surprise. The decor is average to above average, but fhe food was great I had the grilled octopus as appetizer and it was excelent. For the entree, I also had a "small plate" with pork milanese. The waiter pointed out this was limited size, but I thought was appropriate for the entree. I would have... More

Charming restaurant that has The Best homemade pasta and wood fired pizza I have ever had. The menu changes every night and the wait staff is so helpful in explaining the choices. Most choices can be ordered as entrees or small bites so we were able to experience how great the chef is. It is in an area of downtown... More

I have mixed feelings about this review. We were greeted and seated right away. After looking at the menu we almost left. If your looking for traditional Italian this is Not the place for you. If your looking for a culinary evening this is for you. We tried the cheese board and grilled octopus- both were amazing. I guess this... More

We stopped in for lunch and found the food to be bland and expensive. We both had the kale salad which was $9 for a cup and a half of kale with bread crumbs and lemon dressing. We split a pizza which had no seasoning-tomatoes straight out of the can. The service was very good which saves this rating.

I happen to ask a local business owner ( next door at the pottery shop) where to eat. Without hesitation he recommended Cucina 24 . He recommended a couple more places but kept coming back to Cucina 24. And to our delight we took his advice ! Don't let the prices scare you off. You are in for a night... More

If you are looking for traditional Italian cuisine, this is not your place. The food is flavorful, but if you are looking for a great lasagna or dish of plump gnocchi they don't serve up this type of Italian. I'm sure we will be remembered as the couple who asked for the pepperoni & mushroom pizza. The look on our... More

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Asheville! My husband and I always pick this spot for our date nights. Incredible food, the plating is always beautiful. Food has always been cooked perfectly and we love their daily changing menu based on what foods are fresh. Love their eclectic drink menu too. These people know what they're doing, a... More

Chef & owner Brian Canipelli opened Cucina 24 in 2008 on Wall Street in the center of downtown Asheville, NC. Our kitchen is focused on melding the traditions and philosophies of Italian cookery with ingredients found in the mountains of the American South. We work closely with a number of area farms and our menus reflect produce that they bring to us.
