Five Points has been serving traditional southern fare in downtown Asheville for as long as I can remember. It's a small neighborhood eatery that has been serving up great classic southern breakfasts and lunches forever. If you want a great price and like a down home place to enjoy yourself, this is it!

Great atmosphere and rapid service. Hearty breakfast with no holds bared on your daily cholesterol intake. Excellent if you are looking for a traditional American breakfast on a budget (was about $10 per person). Only complaint was the weak coffee. The waitress was delightful.

They have been changing slowly but steadily over the years and breakfast is no longer available for $3. But they still have the best deal in town. Really great hash browns - REAL hash browns - biscuits, eggs, and endless coffee and tea. Fast service and a friendly staff. They also have lunch and dinner now with specials and Greek... More

It's a diner, but it is a diner that excels in what it does. Traditional breakfast fare done well: omelets, chops, eggs benedict, you name it. Five Points is busy, as it should be, but they turn their tables pretty quickly so your wait should be fairly brief. Good coffee. Good service. We had been before and we will return... More

I should probably give it more stars..... but that would only apply if there were categories, as in "diner" category. Definitely value for your meal. I've only ever had breakfast there & it's always been very predictable. Service is fast, staff are great & food is abundant.

Based on trip 5/15/2016. Pros/Cons at the end I work third shift so often i find myself in an interesting conundrum of finding someplace cheap and good to eat at 7am, when most lunch restaurants are still closed and the best you can do is fast food. I read about this place on TripAdvisor and thought i would give it... More

Lots of locals fill this breakfast joint so you might have a bit of a wait. But their service is speedy so it shouldn't be long. Their prices are very reasonable. Have the biscuits with your breakfast and start your diet on Monday.

A fun place to go. Energetic, alive! Usually crowded but not today. Good ol' Southern cooking. Locals love it. Friendly fast service. Sit at the counter and watch the show! High level esprit de corps with the staff.

Unfortunately we decided on a late brunch, after eating a decent breakfast. We were told that there may be a line to get in but the food is good. Off we went, plenty of parking, a ramp for walkers and wheel chairs and loads of tables for 4 and 8. The place seems to have been a waffle house that... More

Locals eat here and are provided with what you need to get the morning going. Portions are large. The French toast was very tasty with and extra sweet flavor. Grits were super hot! Sadly there were no options of fruit or yogurt.
