The food and coffee are great. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff very nice. I usually get a biscuit with cheese and egg and it is great.

We were in Asheville for two nights. Luckily, we found the Biltmore Avenue City Bakery across the street from where we were staying. We had their croissants and lattes the first morning. The pastries were good and the lattes excellent; double shots with warm milk, no foam. Most others were having the breakfast biscuit sandwiches. The next morning we asked... More

We stumbled upon City Bakery one morning and pulled in. Glad we did. Got great coffee, a cheese danish and sticky bun to go. All fresh and delicious! Would stop again!

Stopped here for the first time for a cup of coffee this morning. The young lady who took my order was what you call a "southern belle" and suggested I try a cinnamon bun which is something I normally never eat. OMG! Am I glad she did........I could have a meal off that delicious pastry. While in there I also... More

Everything is home made. I had the best strawberry pie and the best sticky bun of my life. Items change daily, so it is all fresh!

Just a delightful experience. Fantastic homemade breakfast sandwiches and pastry. Coffee was just right with several options too. Atmosphere and decor makes sure you know you're in Asheville in case you forgot! We will be back and bring friends for our January trip to Asheville.

We tried their cheddar scallion biscuit with bacon, egg, cheese, spinach and tomato! What an incredible combo. Paired with their fresh orange juice and coffee your day will have a great start.

I visited here a bit over a year ago and wrote a less than complimentary review stating that the cook was having a bad hair day. My visit today was totally different. Service was great and the sandwich I had for lunch was outstanding. The bread, ingredients and presentation were all excellent.
