Walked here from our hotel, ordered breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese) on a bagel (instead of the standard Cheddar Scallion Biscuit) with Coffee. Great fluffy yummy eggs. It was busy and a table opened us just as we were ready to sit down! Loved it.

My sister and I both chose the City Bakery to create our wedding cakes for our individual weddings. Sarah did a marvelous job! You don't get charged extra for any fillings you might want to add inside the cake. The cakes were both so moist and flavorful. Couldn't have asked for better! The final product was beautiful for both cakes.... More

Love this place! Went 3 mornings in a row during my stay at the aLoft, across the street. Loved the coffee, had 2 different biscuit sandwiches, were amazing. Also, the pastries looked fantastic. Service and vibe were excellent. Great breakfast spot/coffee shop, highly recommend!

Don't miss City Bakery if you're visiting Asheville. Everything we've ever had here has been great. The sandwiches are great, but some we love more than others. The Club is great and huge. The Southwestern Turkey Melt is a favorite. My husband raves about the Avocado/Chicken Salad plate. But the Chocolate Croissants and the Cinnamon Rolls have got to be... More

This was my second visit. The first time I had the ham and Swiss croissant and a cafe au lait . Fabulous. I stayed at Aloft and City Bakery is just across the street. I'm not a big breakfast person so this was just right. The coffee selection and specialty coffee would suit anyone. The second visit I splurged and... More

I don't like fancy coffee, just a solid cup that tastes good and feels nice. City Bakery had good coffee, drinkable and enjoyable. The food is excellent too.

Stopped in for a late breakfast-early lunch. Menu is posted behind the counter-you order and pay and a staff member brings your food to the table. We had the veggie-egg sandwich and the club sandwich. Both were very good. Tea and a soft drink and tip totaled 18.00. Well worth it.

The baked goods were really great. I have eve had a better cheese Danish. I have eaten here before and it is always great with good quality ingredients.

I am a professional photographer from Atlanta, Georgia, and I was in Asheville on a job for an Atlanta client. I popped into City Bakery to warm up and have some downtime before my session. I ordered a wonderful latte and hung out for a while. This appeared to be a nice local stop and lots of tourists who were... More

The food was excellent: black bean soup, chicken salad, reuben sandwich. However it took 40 minutes to get our food after we ordered even though there were many empty tables.
