Food was great, service good, and the place is roomy. We each had something different and we all enjoyed our meals.

More often than not, we just get takeout breads at City Bakery, though we sometimes stop for bite inside the Biltmore Avenue location. (City Bakery also sells some of its breads and rolls at area supermarkets.) We especially like the French bread, which is fairly heavy and hearty, not like the New Orleans or Paris light, crusty kind. The hamburger... More

Stopped by for a light breakfast. But saw the cheese chive bisquit sandwich. Rich, cheesy delicious . Couldn't finish. I loved every taste but I was peacefully lethargic for hours afterwards. Didnt need dinner! Great atmosphere, bakery items appeared to be well liked by all.

The food here is quite delicious and the restaurant itself is cute, but this review is more about using City Bakery as a venue. My now-husband and I rented this venue for our rehearsal dinner, and they were extremely professional and excellent to use! We can't recommend them enough, Danielle answered all of our questions and the rehearsal dinner went... More

Judging by the number of trucks in the lot with local trade names this is a well liked place for a coffee and baked good. Standing is small line is another indication that what is coming out of the kitchen is worth waiting for. For us a coffee and scones filled the bill. The dark roast was strong and the... More

There are very few breakfast places with outside seating in downtown. This place is not anything special but was close to our hotel. Their breakfast menu is limited, service is so-so, and food is decent. More of a bread and pastry place than breakfast place. They only serve scrambled eggs. On the plus side, the espresso is pretty good.

I ordered a Cuban sandwich, and waited about half an hour for it. When I asked why it was taking so long, I was scolded and told that I should have ordered something else if I was in a hurry. When the sandwich finally arrived, it was slathered with so much mustard that I could not eat it.

Had lunch there. Ordered 2 salads, asked if a roll came with my salad, and was told no, so I ordered a roll. It came with a roll! I asked for butter or jam for the roll, and was told that they charge for that! Cheep! I may not go back.

Thank you for your review. We apologize that one of our staff members mislead you on the rolls. Sounds like they are a new employee still in the learning process. We haves since addressed this issue with all of our employees. In regards to the cost of the butter or jam: many of our patrons do not request condiments when... More
