This is a great place to grab lunch if you go to the farmers market in Asheville. The food is reasonable, and the portions are very large. It is definitely worth sharing with another person. I bring up biscuits for staying with apple butter which is a very nice taste.

Make sure you try the chicken. The chicken is really good. Portions and prices are very good. They are located right next to the farmers market.

We have been fans of the Moose Cafe for more than 10+ years. We always enjoy the food and the service. As everyone states, the apple butter and biscuits are great. The portions are large so late breakfast will get you through the day. Their lunch menu has a large variety of choices from sandwiches, burgers to turkey or meatloaf... More

I have to start off by saying the staff was very friendly, big change from the last time we had visited several years ago. Our waitress was so rude the last time we ate here we left before we even ordered our meal. My husband and I both ordered the chicken fried steak. Our son had fried chicken and mashed... More

The all you eat breakfast is the way to go. The first plate of food was more than I could eat. I added the moose cake and it was the size of a plate; accurately named.

I have eaten here several times before. Each time has been really good. Their portions are really large. Two people could get enough sharing a plate, but they do charge and extra fee for sharing it is not much $1.50 I think. They personalize their dishes try the sweet potato casserole topped with coconut, really good.

Had a really good lunch! Very fresh food since there's a neighboring farmers market. The ham dinner with a side of dumplings was great and my husband had the met loaf with mashed potatoes and collards! Nothing like good country cookin'!

Always consistently good - service and food! I had baked chicken with cornbread dressing this time and it was delicious. Well-seasoned and juicy. A friend had beans, cornbread, and collard greens and was very pleased as well. Worth a visit!!!!!!

They have the best fried chicken! And their sides are great, especially their green beans and Mac & Cheese!
