Burritos are great, the chicken enchiladas are really good, the queso dip is so good... we eat here every time we visit Gunnison.

We've stopped here the last three years, always great. We have offered $$$ for the tortilla soup recipe, no way, we just have to come back. Yes, it's slow service, but well worth the wait. Last year we did a back-to-back-to-back, i.e. Lunch, dinner, lunch

while it looks more like a bar than restaurant the food is decent. I ordered a burrito and enchilada combo because the other offering sounded like a lot more food for a couple bucks more I wasn't that hungry compared to what my 2 dining mates got I was disappointed my meal was so so. Margarita was great Last year... More

Best option for mexican food in town according to the locals. Really enjoyed their queso and fajitas! Warning, they're margaritas are strong!! Only complaint being the lax service, took a long time to even get waters served to us.

for being in such a small bldg. they loose track of customers. the food is ok but if you ask for extra green chili on you enchiladas or make any requests the staff makes a big deal out of it.t they should realize some gringos speak Spanish when the cook makes remarks.

This is Gunnison's more unique Mexican restaurant. Different from the others. Always tastes fresh and made with love!

This place rocks. My favorite Mexican in Gunnison. Way more authentic and original tasting than the place across the street. Plus....better prices! I'll take a strong tasty large Margarita for $5.50 any day over a large watered down one across the street for $10. Highly recommend:)

The small sign and narrow opening are not obvious, especially being across the street from a rather gaudy Mexican restaurant, but do not let this detour you. There are very few Mexican joints that have not been influenced by American palates but this one has retained it's roots. Fresh ingredients and home made tortillas are the hallmark of this place.... Been there four times, and always great food and drinks . tried margaritas, enchiladas, meats and tamales and carne adobada.. Just love this place. I also believe its quite expensive for Mexican food. Not crazy expensive, just slightly above average. but then again, the food is way above average. Borderline Superior. I live in New York now, But, the next time... More

My husband and I were told this is the best Mexican food and service in Gunnison. The enchiladas were smothered the same as the burrito in a sauce that tasted like tomato paste. No lettuce or tomato to garnish the plate. Very over priced at $12 a plate. The waitress seated us and took ten minutes to take our order.... More
