Umm - yuck

The only good thing was that our dogs could sit out on the patio. Total waste of money, the food was awful. We had their patty melt (I think that is what they were trying to duplicate) and bagged, old, dry, iceberg lettuce. definitely won't be back.

Not Bad

We were in Gunnison on a Sunday so there weren't that many restaurants to choose from. We had eaten here before a long time ago. Our waiter Dillon was very attentive and was helpful with his suggestions. The food was o.k. but nothing outstanding. Their cobblers are good however.

Try the nachos!

The front desk clerk at our hotel recommended this restaurant and now we know why! The food was delicious and the service was good too. We especially recommend the nachos!

Awful food and Service

Service was Poor and food was worse. Service I thought was going to be good, for came for drink order right away, but did not show up much after. Constantly we had to stop her for refills, straws, etc. Food was way worse. I had the fish and Chips and the cod was way over cooked and was super greasy. I could have probably squeezed oil out of these pieces of fish. Fries were cold, but the coleslaw was good. My son ordered Medium-Rare and they served him Medium-Well and steak had no taste at that. We were very disappointed with place.

Best burger

The best burger since Jerome, Az. The server Alicia is a great addition to this saloon! Every perso. Was nice but she new every place to go and we appreciate her time and kindness. Seriously the bun is perfect with burger not huge, and we got ml mozzarella sticks that were not greasy! If you are coming through Gunnison, wait to have your eats here!

So slow!

We waited an hour and 55 minutes for our food, and then another 10 minutes for the last salad to arrive to our table. The parking lot was almost empty and so was the restraunt. We placed our order and watched and waited while 6 different tables in our area were waited on, brought their food, paid and left the restraunt all the time while we waited for our food to arrive. Drinks ran dry, and we had to flag our waitress for refills. The majority of our order was salads. The protein on all the salads was cold, the beef on the taco salad was even cold. Not a great experience! If you are a local, you will have a very different experience.

Six of us went to this restaurant. First, the service is not very good. I know a lot of restaurants are short-staffed so hope this is the issue. If you are gluten free, be aware that your safest choice is going to be a salad. An iceberg salad. It's not very good so, if you are gluten free, I suggest eating before going and bringing some gluten free snacks. For Celiac, there is no dedicated workspace so cross contamination is a huge risk. I wanted a steak but couldn't be assured it was gluten free or safe. Two people ordered burgers cooked medium. They were both well done. The veggies that come with the meals are obviously frozen. I won't be going back and it's sad because there aren't may options for gluten free eaters in Gunnison.

Great food. Great service.

Was referred by the Ol Miner restaurant when their cooker went down. We were in a hurry to get to church. Nicole our waitress took our order and the food came out in a timely manner. It was the most tender steak we have ever eaten at a restaurant. Good food, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend. Wished we had one of these in Louisiana. Nicole was a very friendly sweet waitress.

Wow. So much potential, but.. Very slow service and mediocre food.

We arrived with a party of 5 and got our drinks at in decent time. Then a 15 wait, and we were ready sooner, to provide our order. Then 55 minutes later we received on our meals there was no return trip to see if we needed anything. Everyone needed a drink refill. The food was decent, but some was cold. The chicken fried stake was tough. We are after noon so it didn’t seem busy. There was no urgency at all. The waiter was nice enough, again, noooo hurry at all. May we hit it on an off day but I don’t think we did. I’d pass on this place.

Good family and dog friendly place.

Good foods, friendly staff, dog friendly with nice patio. Owner Scott even came by to talk to us before our foods arrived. We are only passing by but we’d recommend this place for lunch. If they have clam chowder as soup of the day, get a cup. I quite enjoyed it.

Delicious burgers!

My husband and I stopped here on a whim and were not disappointed. We both had burgers and they exceeded our expectations. I had onion rings and my husband had fries. We ate everything and left nothing behind. Absolutely delicious ! We'll definitely eat here again when we are in the area.

We stopped here after a full day of hiking and off road driving. It was excellent! The server, I can't remember her name, was so good and very friendly!! We all ordered something different. Robin got the fried chicken on a bun with fries. Chris got a burger and fries. Mark got the pulled pork tacos. I got the grilled chicken ceaser salad. All were good! Robin also got the blueberry and lemon cobbler. We would recommend this place and if ever back in the area we will be back!! Thank you to the manager and our server for the outstanding service and delish food!!

Yucky food, not worth the money

Yuck! Food was awful, salad was dried up iceberg lettuce, will not be going back. The patty melt my husband had was awful, hardly any meat, hardly any cheese, and no flavor.

We ate dinner at the Palisades. The server and bar tender were both pleasant and efficient. The food was very tasty and the cost was reasonable. We would definitely eat there again.

Server sat in a booth and Read, Food was Wrong, Flirted Openly with Patrons

There wasn’t a Hostess and Only One Server who was Determined to Flirt with every man in the place. So, we stood at the front desk for about 10 minutes while we, and another couple, watched the one server flirt with a man at the booth for 10 minutes. Finally we were seated, and then we watched her go over to another table and openly flirt with a married man who was having dinner with his family, giggling about how she would see him next week. She then came to our table and told my husband how his food would come with everything on the plate covered with green chile. She then flirted with the first man, went to the kitchen to add our order, and then she down in a booth and read a book. 20 minutes later, our dinner arrived, and only one item was covered with green chile. I went over to the booth, where she was still reading, startling her, and told her about the green chile. She then brought out a bowl and I gave it to my husband so her could smother his food. My taco salad with chicken was not good, the chicken was bland, there wasn’t any salsa in the taco salad or in a bowl beside the taco salad and the fried taco shell tasted stale. Now for the good part! My husband became the target for her next flirting episode. She came over to him, bent down and said, “You have the most contagious smile of anyone I’ve ever seen in my whole life! You make me happy and I like to feel happy!” Okay, we’ve been here TWICE to eat, the first waitress was goofy too, but this one won the reward. We will NOT be going back for their sub-par, expensive food, and their waitresses need to be trained much better.
