We stumbled upon this place one after looking for lunch. To try something different I had the Buddha bowl. Butternut squash, quinoa, fennel, cabbage, sunflower, avocado , ….all served warm. This was a savory dish that hit the spot. Plenty to eat - I took...1/2 back home with more. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. With a full bar - grab ya a drink and sit back and enjoy. The only thing I’d like to see added would be a better selection of craft beer.More
We had a large group enjoy lunch today at JW’s Patio. Our food was very good and our server, Ben, took good care of us. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Give JW’s Patio a try!
We give five stars because it has great potential. We loved the food and the service was great by Elliot. We got two different lamb burgers. Mine was wonderful but my wife thought hers was not of a super quality. Still great experience and we...would love to see the business grow and flourish.More
JW's Patio has lots of potential but it just isn't there right now. Wine list mediocre at best. Why do they have three New Zealand sauvignon blancs by the glass and bottle but no good sparkling wines and only grocery store chardonnay? My food was...prepared well and nicely plated. Reyna, the waitress, was well-intended and attentive. The hostess stand is incompetent. They said they only had tables available even though a half-dozen booths sat empty for 90 minutes when I was there. There's a covered [and heated?] patio that you need to ask about. They don't proactively offer it. The tables are uncomfortable and just tossed down on the floor in the pathways with no logical layout. No bread, no refills on water, and the dessert options sounded like frozen food supply desserts, not anything made in-house. I would probably return because there aren't many good restaurants in Beaumont. But this is the kind of place that with better and more attentive management could be a lot nicer and better.More
We selected this restaurant based on reading reviews. After dinner I felt like I had been poisoned. I write this review 20 hours later and my stomach has forced me into the bathroom every 2 hours. The eggplant & artichoke appetizer was so salty it...was inedible. It had an after taste of metal. The shrimp & grits were also excessively salty and the shrimp tasted like it was boiled in dish water. The salmon came with rice and it was too salty to eat.More
We stopped in Beaumont traveling to and from Texas and Florida. We liked JW’s so much on our first visit, we made a point to stop on the return trip. It is well worth the ten minute drive off I10. Smoked salmon appetizer, lamb shank...over polenta, really good wine list - in Beaumont?! Who would have thought? Nice atmosphere, great service, delicious food.More
Spouse and I wanted to test the new brunch menu. Only issue is that the brunch begins at 10a, and all the social sites say 11a. The whole menu looks really good, so the spouse and I ordered 3 menu items. The chicken benedict was...delicious, and actually more food than we expected. We ordered an omelet which was very good, and the loaded fries, which was really good. Sat in the outside patio which was really comfortable. There was a one man band performer, he had a very good voice and good song selection, but the volume could have been a little lower. We think we'll make this a regular thing. Oh, and the Bloody Mary is excellent.More
