We spent a week camping at the Chisos Basin Campground in Big Bend. Although we brought food along to cook/grill, one morning (March) it was in the mid 40's so we decided to eat and warm up at the Lodge. The breakfast buffet included the usual scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage/bacon, pancakes/french toast, oatmeal & cold cereal, toast, etc. Actually all... More

I highly recommend the colossal and beautiful club sandwich with swirl cut home fries. This is the only full service restaurant in Big Bend National Park and it did not disappoint. It is very casual, not fussy, and the portions are huge! We had lunch there twice and found it to be a wonderful oasis in an otherwise dry and... More

We were in Big Bend with a large group and Chisos Mountains Lodge Restaurant was very accommodating. Their food was good, extensive menu, and filling. Perfect before or after a day of hicking. The views out their windows, the patio, the parking lot, or even the bench outside their front door, were breathtaking.

Ate dinner and breakfast here and both were average. Nothing to write home about, but decent food with a full bar and a great view of "the window". Both times we had really good service.

Since this is the only restaurant in the park, we weren't expecting much and were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Good food (especially the fries) after hiking, friendly service, and beautiful views of the Chisos Mountains!

A little pricy, but where else are you to go? Nearest town is 80 miles (except unless you cross over to Mexico) and there is only a few things in Marathon.

The wait staff was awesome and the food was delicious. The menu had a variety to suit any appetite. The view is spectacular. Definitely worth the drive to get there.

While staying in Big Bend NP at the Chisos mountain resort, this is the only restaurant. If you go during daylight, offers excellent views. We enjoyed dining there, and felt the prices were very reasonable. Excellent salad bar.

A remote lodge that is one's only option for a sit-down lunch is not always very promising, but the food was good and service attentive, and it was a good value. The restaurant was filled at lunch with an eclectic mix of lodge guests, campers tired of their own cooking, hikers enjoying their first meal off the trail, foreign tourists... More

Quite and peaceful this time of year. Good service. Hot and dry outside. Daily special with salad and soup for my wife. Nice place to take a break. Very good made from scratch soup and daily different cobbler for desert. We were told by a ranger that the pecan is very good. Apple today however.
