This is a great stop off the beaten path. We were looking for some home style cooking on our way back to Kansas from Pagosa Springs and we hit the jackpot! The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. The menu had something for everyone. We'll definitely stop here again.

Ypu are greeted with a smiling face and most of the time first name basis! If the locals pack it ypu know it's a great spot. Me and my family eat at the Cooper Kitchen regularly! We love Larry and the crew. Big portions for an affordable price, stop in and see them!

Love this kind of locals place, where most folks seem to know each other... service is friendly... atmosphere country-kitsch. The food was pretty good, tho we thought it could use a little more tender loving care. For instance, my blueberry pancakes were delicious, but the sausages were hard as hockey pucks. They offered either cheap maple syrup or the sugar-free... More

The staff is very friendly! on our way east we stopped and ate lunch; the french fries and club sandwich were very good. On the way back home-west we stopped for breakfast because everyone and food there invited us back. When traveling east again we WILL stop back!

Probably the friendliest staff we have run across. It was crowded with locals, but they seated and served us very fast. We had the cheeseburgers, they were good, but the atmosphere makes everything better. Will stop here whenever we go through La Junta from now on.

We ended up eating here twice, as the food was good and the staff friendly. The food was your average diner fare: hamburgers, BLTs, omelets, etc... but it was fresh and we enjoyed it very much. We came for lunch and returned the next day for breakfast. It was PACKED with locals, a very nice experience.

I had researched places to eat before heading out to Bent's Fort so decided on this place as it was on our way back to Colorado Springs. We were not disappointed! After seating ourselves, we were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress. The prices are definitely worth your time and we thought the portions of the food were perfect. It's... More
