I didn't expect to find good sushi in Moab so this place was a surprise. If you need a sushi fix and your in Moab this is the place to go. It's not 5-star sushi but for Moab it's definitely a good place to eat.

Sabaku Sushi has limited hours/days of operation in the off season--we managed to catch them open on a Wednesday, our last night in Moab. We sat at the sushi bar, the only seats available at 7 PM, and ordered both from the sushi chefs and a waitress (the process is a bit confusing if you are interested in non-sushi items... More

We couldn't believe our eyes when Sabaku Sushi came up on Tripadvisor as a highly rated restaurant in Moab. My fellow reviewers are right, this is a special place. The sushi was fresh and nicely presented. The tables are a bit tightly spaced so you might meet some new "friends" and we were not able to get a reservation. Nevertheless,... More

Really good sushi. Not just good considering you're in Moab. Didn't love the garden veggie roll but the other two we got were great.

Having lived in Japan and eat sushi almost everywhere I travel, this place was a joke. We were put at a table that could barely hold one person with food much less two. The waitress immediately started arguing with me when I was trying to give a comparison on something I had at a different place. Service was slow and... More

Half of the food was poor to below average. Miso soup was flavorless; the tempura shrimp were tiny and not special; Californian roll and fiery furnace were both flavorless. The delicate arch roll was fantastic. Service was a little slow and it seemed that "locals" got the better attention. Even the the nigiri pieces I ordered were average. The eel... More

We like sashimi and sushi -- usually in Hawaii. We were told by several of our river guides that we just "had to try this place". They were right on! We got there a little late with five people and got lucky -- another party was just leaving. That said...be prepared to wait. There were a number of couples growling... More

We were a little nervous about trying sushi in the desert, but it was absolutely delicious! Very creative rolls and great service at the sushi bar. Almost everything in their menu is gluten free also. I highly recommend it!
