Visited harpers ferry for two nights and the inn keeper recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed, great service, great food and awesome beer selection. Went on a Thursday evening so crowd was not an issue. We will be back.

We were recommended the Anvil by the staff at our accommodation and we were not disappointed. Even though it was a Saturday night, we were able to get a table. We both chose the Blackened Salmon and it was one of the best fish meals we have ever eaten. Delicious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, the dining room had... More

We ate in the bar area as it was less formal but has the same menu. We both had the crab cakes. They were wonderful. Filled with chunks of tender crab meat without a lot of extra filling. The plate was quite full with veggies and potatoes. There was also a dinner salad that comes with it. Nice dinner after... More

Ate dinner here with friends. Waitress was attentive and helpful. The food is a little pricy but since it is mostly seafood and steak, perhaps that should be expected. It was very good. The pumpkin biscuits were excellent. The dining room was quiet enough to carry on a conversation without raising voices. Ample parking is available across the street from... More

My beloved indains won their playoff game so it had to be good but the pork loin was also worth the visit. Very friendly... Amber was awesome.

This was down the street from my B & B so it was an easy walk. Had dinner there twice around 5:30 pm so not crowded and both waitresses were very attentive. Had crabcake first evening, a very filling dinner and crabcake was good and large. Second night had chicken tortilla soup which was excellent. Also had house salad with... More

I wanted to get up and help the single waitress with 50 patrons and no help in this adorable little restaurant at the top of the hill in Harper's Ferry. I wanted to depart -- but we had plenty of time to enjoy our lunch so we stayed. 30 minutes into our stay another woman arrived to "work" -- she... More

Had lunch here today. Restaurant definitely needed more help. Service was slow but good. Food was good and menu selection okay. They only served lunch in the pub side of the restaurant which was crowded when we got there; but thinned out by the time we left.

The Anvile, is not in the historic part of town, but is on the way. There is a parking lot across the street. This is a huge deal, since there is no parking available in old town, and the shuttle stops running at 6:45pm easy free parking is a great asset. The food, was decent pub grub. Service was friendly... More
