We had dinner here on our first night in HF based on recommendation from b&b. The wine list is very reasonable and many good entrees including the gumbo. Interesting story about the many purposes of the building during the civil war.

We happened on this excellent restaurant by accident. My wife had rockfish and I had seafood gumbo. Both were excellent although I prefer more seafood in my gumbo. We got a goat cheese appetizer with 3 different cheeses that was excellent. Only Robles was not enough bread to match the cheeses.

This restaurant was recommended to us by several locals during our visit to Harpers Ferry. It was so good we went on a Friday night and again Saturday night! The servers were very friendly and the food was amazing. The vegetables were fresh, seafood was delicious. Both the French soup and lobster Bisque were great. My husband was very impressed... More

We were visiting Harper's Ferry for a weekend away to celebrate my husband's birthday. We gave the Bisou Bistro a try and were delightfully surprised. While it's best to make a reservation we hadn't on that Friday night but were able to get in and were seated upstairs. It was lovely. We shared the space with one other couple but... More

We picked this place because it was recommended. There were four of us and we tried the Bruschetta, French Onion soup, Steak, Seafood pasta and the Gumbo. The food was delicious. The service was ok but he was the only server in the area, which caused him to forget about us a little. The restaurant was very cute and could... More

Good, not great, food in an interesting location. All in all, probably your best dinner option in the area.

This is absolutely the best restaurant in this NHP town. Authentic Cajun dishes with fresh ingredients. Great seafood. Excellent service and reasonable prices including the wine list. Don't miss it.

Louisiana cooking at its best. Yes it is licensed, despite some web sites saying that it's BYOB. Delicious home cooked southern food. Charming host and hostess.

Your order an expensive steak. Long wait and when food does arrive your steak is served with canned sliced potatoes! Floor dirty and tops of salt and pepper was so dirty I wouldn't use them. Table was in such bad condition I thought it would break as we cut the meat. Was great under previous owner but I will never... More

So I thought long about how I was going to respond to this"review". As owner and chef I take your perceived experience and weigh it against what I know to be true and accurate. Then I talk to my staff about it. What I have surmised is that something happened to you during your time here that insulted you in... More

With excellent food in a casual, laid-back atmosphere, Bisou Bistro is a nice find in the Harpers Ferry area. Within walking distance of many Bolivar-area inns/B&Bs, Bisou Bistro makes a perfect spot for an unhurried, intimate dinner. The chef-driven menu features a variety of Cajun/New Orleans-inspired cuisine, much of it featuring the house-made (and really wonderful) andouille sausage. We shared... More

We appreciate the note. We do try hard to make our place an entire experience and not just a meal. We have noted that the period chairs are a little uncomfortable so to that end we are having custom..butt pads made to make the seating more enjoyable. Glad we could contribute to your Harpers Ferry Experience! CK More
