We had dinner at this restaurant during a recent visit to Harper's Ferry for the 4th of July. Loved the décor and atmosphere. It's small and charming in an old home. The food was excellent - I had the Potage and my husband had duck. Both were great choices. Our server was attentive, but not annoying :). The Chef came... More

The chef and wait staff were amazingly kind and friendly. The food was so good, made fresh. Try the bruschetta! One of the few places in the town open on Monday! Thank God!

Chef Kev and his team put together a wonderful NOLA themed lunch for our private event of 20 people. They even baked a specialty cake that was hands down the best cake I've ever tasted! Although the Canal House is a small venue, it makes up for it in charm and civil war character. The food was delicious and satisfying.... More

Very good food and cozy atmosphere. We tried the salmon and salad with chicken, both were very nice. No appetizers or desserts though, which was a bit disappointing.

The best food and service. Great atmosphere! This is a must try restaurant. Live music and a great wine selection.

Overall great experience. The candlelit tables at dinner time give the place a certain ambiance, coupled with awesome service and even better food? You can't go wrong here. There's also a small but diverse wine list that caters to practically all preferences and the prices were very reasonable! Thanks for a good time, Bisou Bistro!

3 foodie friends and I visited Harper's Ferry, West Va. And I must say good food is almost non-existent unless you travel to Charlestown or Shepherds Town - but now you can stay in Harper's Ferry and dine in the quaint historic Canal House at Bisou Bistro. It's like being in a friends house in the low country of Bayou... More

SWEET!!! I am so glad you guys enjoyed the Potage. It is a labor of love and selfishly happens to be one of my favorites. When I taste it, I am 6 years old again sitting at my Maw Maw's table with some crusty french bread gettin' after it. Thanks for the insightful comments. Many do not pick up on... More

Liquor license in July, FYI. Meal was delicious, two of us had their steak, well prepared and I had the steak salad, also very good. Very good value. Would go there again.

I was surprised to see that the Canal House was under new management, and decided to check it out for lunch. It's a quaint place, and fits the historic area very well. Besides the downstairs and upstairs dining rooms, there is a small-ish outside eating area in the back with a little stage. The owner told me that they plan... More

The restaurant was not busy when we were there and chef owner greeted us and stayed to chat. We loved the Cajun food. Newly open - no liquor license yet. It has a great future. Housed in antique structure. Be sure to visit restroom upstairs.

The reason I left the Hustle of the DC restaurant scene was the luxury i am bestowed in being able to chat with some of the guests. It really is a pleasure for us to greet those that visit with a "how are you?' and actually get to stay and listen. Thanks for mentioning the bathrooms. I won't give up... More
