Low key place with a good vibe. The crab cakes were delicious. Just like at the shore. The bar tender was super friendly. For two strangers to the area, we found this to be a very hospitable place to drink and eat.

There maybe two restaurants in Sharpsburg but the others are well hidden! We stopped here for lunch after touring the Antietam battlefield. We expected just a bar but the food takes it up a level above that. The Antietam Panini is "merely "a Reuben, but very well done. The chicken Quesadilla is one of the best. The Rachel is a turkey variant on a Reuben, and my friend opted for fried onion rings to his delight. The "Floor Manager" is what I call the hostess/bartender/server. Someone else brought out the food from the kitchen but other that that she was a solitary act. Didn't miss a step. She was fabulous and what a sense of humor!,

I was a little put off thinking I had to eat dinner at a tavern as I normally do not do that type of thing however I will say the people were friendly, the wait staff was good and I will say I had the duck and it was the best duck I ever have eaten. My wife had the prime rib and she was not upset with her selection. The drinks were not overpriced either. I would definitely go back.

Sharpsburg is off the main drag but gets lots of visits due to the Antietam battlefield. This tavern is about the only option and has great food. We visited on a Sunday so a limited brunch menu was being served. Nice sandwiches and salad options.

We stopped in for a quick bite one evening while we were staying in Sharpsburg. The weather was conducive to eating out back on one of the outside tables which was great since we were still trying to negotiate post-COVID restaurant meals. The food and service were both good but nothing out of the ordinary.

The first meal on our road trip...it was a cozy place with friendly service. We had The Burnside Panini and Antietam Reuben Panini, which were promptly prepared, fresh and tasty. The prices were very reasonable and the waitress was very attentive. We enjoyed our meal before hitting the nearby battlefield to walk off our lunch.

We had to stop in to see Kelsey and have a great sandwich! Chesapeake Chicken a must have...crab cake excellence. This is on our must haves whenever in the area. Blackberry cider also a good choice, especially with the leaves turning and feeling a little fallish.

We stopped in after a trip to Antietam Battlefield. It was small inside, but wasn't too crowded at the time we were there. I had Maryland Crab soup and my husband had burgers and fries with a beer. Can't beat the price at less then $20 for that. Come prepared...cash only.

My wife an I took her 2 brothers and their family's here after a Kayak run on the Potomac. Steve, Lori, & the team served us in a very professional and efficient manor. The food was exceptional! What you will find in a 5* Restaurant because Steve is a great Chef with a great team. Our family as a whole decided we will be back many times in the future!

After reading others reviews, we decided to stop for a cold brew. Annabelle Lee is a crisp Wiesen beer highly recommended. There were lots of edibles on their menu which we didn’t partake. Place seemed average to us.

We chose this tavern because it was walking distance from a B&B we were staying at. We got there during happy hour and could immediately see that this is a popular local spot as it got pretty crowded while we were there. It's your standard pub fare, good food and drinks and a nice selection. The standout for us was the pickle fries which we loved. I will say the service was excellent. I only saw one server and she stayed on top of everything and was very friendly.

I ordered the Tater tot appetizer with chili. Honestly it was so tasty. It was also so large I took it back to the hotel for dinner and still have a large portion. It was quiet in the bar for a Saturday but it was early. Wait staff as well as other customers were friendly.

Better than average bar food. Good fish and chips, cheeseburgers, apps, and I had a nice spinach salad with pistachios. They were out of many of their local beers, unfortunately. Service was spotty but friendly.

Very basic pub atmosphere & tables. Pleasant service. Good food. We watched early round of March Madness, which was enjoyable. Apparently a big place for darts, but not the night we were there. I had crab cake dinner. Crab cake was very good, nice salad, average baked potato.

This restaurant was a genuine surprise. It didn’t look like much at all when you walked in, but the service was wonderful and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced it’s old and has a bar and it’s very much a gathering type place for locals but we had a wonderful meal.
