My kids and I love the Emporium! The ice cream treats and coffee are wonderful, the play area is so much fun, and the selection of kids crafts and toys, as well as books and other treasures is great! Definitely a must-see in Del Rio.

Every time I walk into this place, I feel like a kid again. I always get a float made the old fashioned way and then browse through the unique collection of toys. Great place.

Stopped by while visiting our family. The owners are very friendly and the building is nostalgic. They have a large selection of Melissa & Doug toys and a play area for children. We enjoyed the shakes, sundaes and waffle cones. I enjoyed browsing the books, souvenirs. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

It is a step back in the past. An old pharmacy that is converted to an Ice Cream Parlor with great service, awesome sodas, and a big sign that says "No Tips". There are games, toys, nick nacks everywhere and you will have a great time just exploring all of the things that are there to look at. Do no... More

This spot in beautiful downtown Del Rio has really good milkshakes. It has a kids play area, souvenirs, scrapbooking materials, and many other things you wouldn't think it has. It's a great place to take visiting company..and after you go the first time you will find yourself making occasional solo trips to feed the need.

Went here after hearing that the milkshakes are magnificent. The owner met me and greeted me at the door and walked with me to the soda-fountain counter. I sat on a counter stool and ordered a chocolate malt. I watched the "soda jerk" scoop chocolate ice cream out and blend it and the other ingredients in a mixer from the... More

Grew up in Del rio, love this little place. I love that we still have something historic here but I went for the first time in about a year, I was so disappointed with how rude the owners have got! My son is 2 and I let his play with the stuff on the "table" the owner wouldn't stop staring... More

We visited the Emporium while walking downtown and seeing which stores were still running. They had some good shakes for a hot day . Daisy c. Aeviasmom.Le-Vel.com

We visited The Emporium while in Del Rio on a hunting trip. We enjoyed the trip back in time in the ancient building filled with old-school style toys and gifts. I'm pretty sure it's haunted, but not unpleasantly so. The owner and workers were very helpful and friendly to us. The best part of our visit was the homemade milkshakes... More
