Delightful atmosphere. Small but quaint. Stopped here with friends and was happily surprised by yummy food. Service was good. Had to wait a bit to be seated but they turned the table as quick as they could.
Fantastic Turkish food . One of our favourite in San Francisco. Chasing place and great cuisine ....
Salads, wraps, kebabs. Located near the west end of the Twin Peaks tunnel. Empire theater across street. Nice atmosphere. Had the Greek salad and an eggplant appetizer which seemed more tomato based than eggplant.
Bursa has very tasty dishes on a short but well-priced menu. Don't miss the lentil soup, from the owner's mom's recipe!
To my dearest friendly staff over there— all of you are doing such excellent customer service. I will recommend To eat Feta Prawns and Baba Ghanouj for appetizers, citrus chicken wrap with fries or kebab with arugula salad. This are just some of my favorite....Every dining experience is a superb. Also the price is just right. That is why I keep coming back.More
We rode Muni out to West Portal to escape from the tourists at Embarcadero. The thought being, that restaurants at West Portal must be good because they do not depend on tourists. After walking both side of West Portal Avenue for a couple of blocks,...we decided on Bursa Mediterranean Cuisine. We were promptly seated and presented with lunch menus. Service was good throughout the meal. We ordered dolmas appetizer, lamb kebabs, and spicy adana. Dolmas was good. I really like the way the grape leaves are prepared. Lamb kebab was anemic with very little lamb. It was mostly rice. Spicy adana was flavorful but short on spice. It was mostly pita. We will return to West Portal in the future to try a couple of interesting looking restaurants; but, we will skip Bursa.More
We’ve been coming here for years with family, friends and co-workers. I really like their rack of lamb $30 and beef stroganoff. The chicken stroganoff is okay but sort of weird with chopped pickles on top. Comes with rice pilaf and a small green salad....The falafel salad isn’t bad but not enough falafels. Hubby and kids also like their kebab. Their complimentary bread is nice and soft and comes with olive oil and mixed spices for dipping. A nice neighborhood restaurant and staff are always nice. No reservations.More
As a vegetarian I often eat falafel, this was the best falafel I have ever tasted. The hummus was absolutely to die for!
It was an easy drive from the valley to find this place on Saturday for lunch. The Falafel is tatsy and perfectly cooked. The side sauces are yogurt based and a bit salty. The dolmah was soft. Red lentil soup was flavorful and heavy. My...husband and kid loved the lamb and beef skewers which were so soft.More
Great food, great service! Love the lunch specials and wraps, although love them so much I'm kinda bummed they don't offer them during dinner :( Seriously only downside to this place! Staff is amazing! Nothing much else to say!
I have nothing but good things to say about Bursa! The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Great for locals and tourists. I'll definitely bring house guests here in the future.
I have now been to Bursa perhaps 6 times -- lunch and dinner. I have met clients there, gone with friends and with family. The lunch menu and the dinner menu are both interesting and with something for everyone. In my own home, I serve...Mediterranean food -- so we know the food culture -- and Bursa has never disappointed. Most recently I had Musakka -- and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The lunchtime wraps are quite delicious (even though I am not a fan of "wraps" and certainly not calling falafel a "wrap" -- oh well) and the meal portions are sizable. Most recently, the waitress we had was just wonderful -- we liked her so much. She was thoughtful, answered questions and after my personal description of a wine I would love -- she got the info from someone on their staff -- and recommended a wine that I did really like! I will be taking a client there for lunch this Friday--and was just there last week with another client! I like this place, obviously.More
Came here based on recommendation of friend who I was visiting who lives nearby. Very good falafel that is damn close to what I've had in the Middle East!
We arrived early as we had our granddaughter and wanted to get her home. Two tables were taken. By time we left ~1 hr later, there were people standing in the doorway waiting for tables to get up. The cigar pastries were wrapped in a...fine dough similar to phyllo and stuffed with feta and parsley. They were served with a dipping sauce which was very tasty. We also ordered a combo plate for an appetizer with an assortment of grape leaves, falafel, hummus and other items that I had no idea what they were. The grape leaves and falafel was the best I’ve eaten at any restaurant. The lamb kabob came on two long skewers with onion & red pepper and was very flavorful served over jasmine rice, and a Greek salad. That entire dish was very tasty. I would have to say this is the best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve eaten at thus far.More
