I'm a massive fan of Chinese hotpot and shabu shabu so this was on my list of restaurants to go to. I really liked that you could pick all you can eat and the meat available is top quality. They bring an initial selection for you as well as some mixed vegetables. My favourites were the beef and the shiitake... More

We were trying to find a do place to eat hot pot in Japantown. We didn't have reservations, so we had to wait for about 30 minutes at Shabusen. We ordered the all you can eat. $35 per adult and just an FYI..everyone in your party has to order the all you can eat. Totally worth it! We each had... More

The title says it all; Thoroughly enjoyable. The head chef came out often to ensure that we had what we wanted. Good value all you can eat.

I've eaten Japanese food many times both in Asia and the USA, though never before shabu-shabu. A recent meal here did nothing to make me a devotee. It focused on thin sliced kobe beef, a wagon load of cabbage, a couple of tofu pieces, some mushrooms and thin cooking broth in which to dunk these ingredients. I came away feeling... More

This place is fantastic! It is so authentic you swear that you're in Japan! I love Shabu-Shabu and this was terrific! Great staff, cold Asahi Super Dry and absolutely delicious Shabu-Shabu! If you like truly authentic Japanese food, don't miss this place.

I go there at least four times a year and it never disappoints me. The personnel are friendly and efficient. You have a choice of Sukiyaki or Shabu shabu. Two of us had Shabu Shabu and two other people had Sukiyaki and we were all happy.

I took my dad here for his first shabu shabu experience. It was a complete accident, since I was trying to take him to another place, and they were too crowded. Well, I'm glad they were. The shabu (we ordered kobe beef and praws in spicy miso broth) was delicious, the place was clean and roomy (the original place we... More

The waitress is absent minded, and often you have to ask for her to delivered all the missing ingredients. they do not have anything for your Ponzu sauce except garlic ( forget about the green orion) and the sesame sauce is plain.. The meat is decent marble color but really "thin" ..There is many choices in the area. I would... More

It's fun, you cook the food yourself! Pro tip - and of course plain ol' shabu shabu is mild, that's why you order the spicy version, like me. Good service, clean, tabletop cooking fun. Yay!
