The wait list for EAT'S, B Star's sister restaurant, was over flowing due to the Sunday farmer's market, so they referred us to B Star. We have frequently dined there but never considered them for breakfast or brunch. A nice surprise. Try the Longganisa Breakfast. Uniquely spiced sausages over sunny side up eggs and fried rice.

Short version: we were a big group, and the staff clearly doesn't know how to serve us. The restaurant was located in a sketchy neighbourhood. And you could get much better food down in Burlingame and elsewhere. Long version: Disorganized reservation system: Made a reservation for a party of 10 for 8:15. We called at 7:30 to confirm, and were... More

The place was extremely loud and busy, which in itself is not a problem, but apparently the kitchen was not able to handle the high demand. The fish my wife ordered, trout with mango slaw, was off (sour, spoiled smell). At least we did not have to pay for the dish. The other dishes were not really fresh either. Disappointing... More

Promptly seated for evening reservation (yay!) but then we were overlooked and ignored for a good fifteen minutes before we hunted down a (very busy) server. Things improved from then on, as drinks and food appeared quickly. Every single bite we ate (three entrees, a rainbow salad, and some side vegs shared btw four of us) was *absolutely* delicious. The... More

This place is busy, so if you don't have a reservation, maybe show up early for lunch. The menu attracted us-we could see it was an ambitious Asian fusion type. We ordered the Asian Niceois salad and the white beans and pork. The tuna came seared (virtual sashimi) and the salad with a peanut sauce type dressing was good-edamame, bean... More

My friend had made a reservation and we are forever grateful that she did. We were seated once our party had arrived. Our server did not introduce herself, though she was training someone else since she had followed her every footstep. Once we were seated, we had only decided what to drink and get for appetizers. We told our server... More

We shared a banquet with friends and thoroughly enjoyed every last bite and all raved about how unique and flavorsome each dish was! I look forward to returning to B Star on my next visit and now have very high expectations for the flagship venue! :)

Enjoyed a very good lunch here recently. We all had the lunch special - an entree + a side. I chose the Shrimp and Chicken Biryani and a side of butternut squash soup. The soup was AMAZINGLY good!! The Biryani wasn't a traditional one, but the meat and shrimp were well cooked and the rice fine. I would have preferred... More
