Long lines, takes about 30 minutes. The ice cream is good, I had the famous salted caramel, creme brûlée and coconut strawberry, and my wife had roasted banana, coffee toffee, vanilla lavender. As I said, ice cream is good but compared to ice cream made in Europe it is below average in taste and quality.

Lots of super cool flavors -- I got "sweet popcorn" and it REALLY tasted like popcorn! I found myself instinctively moving to pick kernels out of my teeth even though there obviously weren't any :) Of course, they have standard flavors, too -- and they are also excellent. But if you're going to visit, I'd definitely recommend trying something unique... More

These guys have some amazing flavors for ice cream. I loved their honey lavender and coffee toffee. There are so many but I had tried only these two and was sold. The place gets crowded as people start lining up. Sometimes they are out of popular flavors. But there still would be few that you can find to your liking.... More

We made a point to hit this spot on our trip to SF after reading about it online and are we ever glad we did. My husband, who loves ice cream and has had his fair share in life, thought this was BY FAR the best ice cream he'd every had (he got the roasted banana and vanilla) - we... More

We tried twice to get in the main shop but the queue was right around the block and too long to bear with young kids in tow, so we went to the much shorter soft-serve window instead. The salted caramel soft serve was pretty much the best ice cream product i've ever tasted outside Italy. Added bonus was the super... More

I really enjoyed their ice cream, in particular the mint chocolate and the honey lavender. The quality seems good and the amount of sugar they use doesn't make it too sweet. Probably the best ice cream I've had outside of Europe. Prices are ok for San Francisco standards. Would go there again, no doubt!

Historic and delicious! Worth a trip and fascinating flavors. Like I said, I am not really an ice cream person but this was worth it!

The ice cream was definitely better tasting than the average ice cream shop. I would have given them 5 stars if we weren't rushed by the 2 female workers. I went with 2 other people and the girls were rushing them when we wanted to sample to figure out which flavor we wanted. The guy helping me was actually nice... More

I've had many of the flavors & NEVER waited more than a few minutes to order. Secret 1 - order a cone or cup middle of a weekday when there's no line. Secret 2 - buy a pint from the bake shop window at this location, or go inside one of their markets to buy from the freezer. My favorite... More

Was eating dinner next door and watched the line get longer on a crisp evening. When our dinner finally ended the line was more reasonable. Got the salted caramel and it was awesome so flavorful and rich. If in town got to try this place.
