Great views of the bay, the city, the hills and the bridges - especially at the end of the day. Welcoming staff and cold martinis.

Spectacular views of the bay area, practically 360 degrees. Bar and Restaurant that fits quite a large variety of purposes (business, large groups, romance). Long piano in the evening. Fine lights, elegant setting. The menù is quite large for a piano-bar; it actually tops the requirements you may have for a restaurant. You come here for the view, tough. This... More

Our first visit to San Francisco we were lucky enough to become acquainted with a gentlemen who loves San Francisco and has many years history here. He insisted we be his guests at Sunday Brunch at the Mark-- we had never heard of it, and let me tell you-- it was fabulous. The setting is ridiculously awesome. Gorgeous Mark Hopkins... More

The view from the Top of the Mark is well worth it. I would say don't waste it on the kids my teenagers were not nearly as impressed as we were and the food is great but not kid friendly.

We were staying nearby so decided to try Top of the Mark for a pre-dinner drink. Good (and pricey) drinks. Very limited menu items. The view and history of the Bar is well worth the price of a drink or two.

Brunch here is worth every penny. First, the service and view can't be beat. Ask for a bay view table. The food was all top notch. Lots of fresh seafood, salads, carving station, omelettes made to order, caviar and more. The champagne flows freely. The bread pudding lives up to its reputation and the tiny spoons of creme brûlée are... More

We came here for drinks after we went out to dinner one evening because I read about the awesome views. We had a table right by the window, and the views definitely lived up to the expectations. The drinks were pricey to us, but we expected that anyway so it was not a surprise. Had a great local band the... More

This is such an iconic spot so I thought I should check it out since I am staying at the hotel anyway. The view was beautiful but everything good stopped there. Service was ok. I ordered a cocktail ($13) and it was the worst cocktail in my one week stay in San Francisco. My colleague ordered 2 beers and a... More

We went there for a drink after dinner. The staff is incredibly polite and the view is breathtaking. Probably a nice date location.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
