I was staying in SOMA so decided to walk to Vive La Tarte for coffee one morning. All I can say is "WOW," this is a pastry paradise. They make everything here and it is absolutely DELICIOUS! Coffee very good too.

Fantastic croissants, with the almond as my personal favorite. The pain au chocolate is also a must. To me this represents a perfect quick meal - high quality pastries, excellent coffee & pleasant service. FYI - They also have a small location in the ferry...More

The best croissants I had during my stay in the USA. The open bakery is a very nice concept to have your croissant and coffee.
