It’s been years since I stayed in this part of San Francisco and I remember Quetzal being a good place for breakfast, but it’s not now! I tried it twice and it was a fail each time. Boring food, sloppily presented, staff couldn’t be bothered....Wouldn’t even poach an egg! All you need is an egg, water and heat! Do yourself a favor and go around the corner to Le Marais Bakery on Sutter Street. They care about food, and they poach!!More

We ordered the frittata and were told that it'd be about 15 minutes. 25 minutes later, still no frittata. The staff seemed irritated that we inquired about the order status after 20 minutes. Food was mediocre. We didn't use the "internet", but am hoping that...the internet speed is better than the speed of their food delivery!More

I came here for a brunch snack on my way out of town. It's a very basic cafe for breakfast, lunch and snacking. Good coffee. Lots of younger people seem to park here to access the WiFi. A good location to be along Polk St....if you want to connect with other locals and longer term visitors, or just walk around before or after.More

We stayed in a hotel nearby that doesn't offer breakfast. So we were recommended this café and went there most of the mornings we were in San Francisco. The staff was friendly, breakfast got prepared quickly and tasted very good. Personally, I recommend the "Veggie...Breakfast" with hashbrowns. Quetzal states they offer organic and fair trade produce, which in my opinion is also a plus. WiFi was also good, and I liked the offering of many sockets to recharge mobile devices.More

This place did not attract us by its external looks but we were looking for the combination of coffee and wi-fi so we went inside. It's much nicer on the inside and the menu contains a few veggie and vegan options. Nice selection of cold...drinks incl kombucha and different variations of coffee. Kind service and lots of space. Would go here again if in the neighborhoodMore

This place looks cool and it's located in a great area of Polk street . Customer service was poor . I ordered macchiato and a chocolate croissant . Parking was issue in the area so I double parked. After I got my macchiato , I...told the lady that my friend will pick up my croissant . My friend was next to me and she was waiting for her order . As line was getting bigger , the lady forgot about me. I couldn't park again so I decided to move on and give up from my croissant . Advice : before y start with the next customer , make sure to take care of the previous ....More

I preferred to have a Veggie Cheddar Melt from the menu, it was really done good. Fresh crisp veggies, sautéed to perfection. Bread , and cheese were smelling so nice..and as with all things American even the serving was too big..I had to carry a...portion back in the doggy back. Can't ask for more. ThanksMore

Got the wrong food then had to wait to be asked again what I wanted which by that time my girlfriend had finished hers. The food was average but the smoothies were nice.

Love this cafe. They specialize in organic, fair trade coffee that's really awesome. I went for the first time over 5 years ago and I make sure to stop by every time I'm in the Bay Area. A true SF jewel. (Can't really comment on...the food. I go primarily for the coffee.)More
