We had a great lunch here--very tasty food, very nice setting, excellent service and a bargain. We have been to dozens of Thai restaurants and this is a real standout.

We went to the newly opened branch in Menlo Park and sat outside. They have a variety of cocktails that are light and refreshing and I also had a Singha beer. We started off with a Appetizer platter that had Tom Khai soup, Vegan Fresh...rolls , and paratha with peanut sauce dip. Next we had the Pad Thai and spicy eggplant. They have 3 curry choices Red Green and Yellow and you can choose the meat , we had the Green Curry with Chicken and it had grilled eggplant, bell peppers and basil and was quite tasty. For desert we had the Croissant Bread Pudding and a dollop of icecream. The bread pudding was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this new placeMore

Some fantastic Thai food. The 24 hours beef noodle soup, the papaya salad, the sizzling seafood are among the standouts. Thumbs down: any curry with chicken which tends to be overcooked. Mai tais are way too sweet. Though the food is mostly good (with a...few exceptions), there are some serious annoyances. Primary among them: on a regular basis, your dinner is interrupted by an annoying roving "Thai" band in costume (complete with Carmen Miranda fruit hats). I put "Thai" in quotes because I can't imagine that any self-respecting Thai in Thailand would participate in this embarrassing display. This Thai band sings at the top of its collective lungs off key and bangs loud drums and cymbals. It's a "happy birthday band" serenading customers who have self-identified as spending their birthday at the Farmhouse. Remember the most embarrassing moments you've spent at some cheap restaurant whose appeal is that the staff darts out in song even though the food is bad. It is a sad performance of "Thai"ness with kitsch Americana. After you've had your fill of the one or two birthday performances, the Thai band runs out again for a third try: this time playing the Thai rendition of a Queen song! "We will, we will, rock you!" (To be honest, I don't remember what Queen song it was last night. I'm cringing trying to achieve a balance between remembering and forgetting the actual details.) Will I go back? After the memory of the Thai musical theater recedes and the flavor of the food prevails comes back to tempt me. Then again, I'm writing this review so I might never forget my experience of that sad, sad theater.More

Our son, who lives in the city took us here on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was packed and a dozen in line. First impressions, a line, must be good. Fortunately we had a reservation and waited 5 min. Reservations are recommended. The atmosphere is...lively, the menu is straight forward and all of the dishes great. We asked the waiter for suggestions and followed his lead. Beer selection is very good as is the wine list. Specialty drinks were being had at many tables. They were decorated for Halloween. Suggest you go there on Oct 31st, if you can get in. CheersMore

On the weekend they have a small menu of overpriced dishes, I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and was astonished there were only a few tiny pieces of cut up shrimp. They charged a whopping $27 for mostly sprouts and other fillers. My fellow diners...were disappointed with their food too. Lots of rice and noodles and almost no tofu or chicken. We all felt ripped off. It was impossible to have a conversation during the meal because of the obnoxious noise, An employee in a costume was wandering through the restaurant honking a bicycle horn and banging on a drum. With so many authentic Thai restaurants in San Francisco, this place is truly the worst place to dine.More

First of all, make reservation! It is a popular place. Second of all, the papaya salad is SPICY! Had sausages, crab fried rice and papaya salad. Love the papaya salad, but it was so spicy that we can’t really taste the crab fried rice afterwards,...especially the crab fried rice costs $30. But they do give you a lot of crab meat! Probably should pair it with something milder the next time. Overall, friendly and attentive staff with decent Thai food and in a fun environment. Would definitely go back there again!More

Thanks God I'm here again for the crazy food they have been doing since the beginning of time They're doing great job here for every people they have been coming here since opening time. It's very crowded inside and out. I always come here alone....Cause none of my friends local foods like me. We came here with my fiancee this time and he loved at least I know that way. He told me that. I wonder if he really like it or not. Anyway at least I am not alone this time. He is true believer in food of Thai. Your chef is a way to go bros and sis. I would like to come here again with my fiancee.More

I was really looking forward to eating at Farmhouse Thai Kitchen in San Francisco. My friend, Gayatri had recommended it very highly. Yes, the food was delicious but the service was very poor. We ordered a starter of Calamari which was ok. But the waitress...dropped the plant on the table on my friends’s plate and the water from the plant fell on the food. She asked for another piece of Calamari, and the waitress literally bought one piece.... I would think that a restaurant of that caliber would bring a whole dish for knocking down the planter on her food. For the main course, we ordered red curry shrimp which was very good and spicy eggplant which was delicious but the proportion was very small. I was still eating when the waiter came to clear and he took the spoon from the main course and placed it on my plate. A bit odd. While this restaurant has amazing food, I won’t recommend it as the service is seriously lacking....More

We enjoyed our dinner at Farmhouse very much. The place has bright deco and servers dressed in creative costumes. The food is sensational. The papaya salad is advertised as hot, and it lives up to that description. It’s also addicti rly good. I ate all...of mine and had to go outside to get some fresh air because the fiery dish made me lightheaded. So worth it though. Fried and barbecued chicken dishes were excellent.More

Farmhouse Kitchen is delicious. We happened to arrive just as they opened and were seated quickly. I would suggest you make a reservation if you plan to eat here. We had the pad Thai and the fried chicken and both dishes were really delicious. If...I was in town longer I would have returned.More
