Food was recommended by a friend and he wasn't wrong. The Ramen was great best we had in California. A very enjoyable experience

Having spent countless meals at some dear friends' ramen shop in Japan, I understand that I have a slight bias when it comes to what makes ramen "good." That being said, I have been able to enjoy ramen at places over the States. Katana-ya is not one of one of these establishments. I ordered the standard bowl of ramen as... More

The ramen was mediocre. The restaurant is owned and run by Chinese people, not Japanese. This is NOT a Japanese Ramen shop. We were there for lunch and had to sit in the downstairs. It was freezing cold. There was only one small space heater for the entire space. I had the BBQ Ramen special. The pork belly was good,... More

We found this place and stopped in for a quick dinner, and we were not disappointed. The ramen was delicious, and had just the right amount of spice. I also got a yellowtail sushi roll which was amazing! The service was a little slow in getting the check, but overall the atmosphere was great and we had a good experience.

I thought the food was good. This was my first real ramen place but was filled with people who seem to know more about ramen noodles. The service was pokey in getting the check.

After a long morning flight from the East Coast I came across this place while wandering the neighborhood around my hotel. The soup was cheap, freshly made and delicious.

We ate here a year and enjoyed it tremendously but the standard has dropped drastically. The Gyoza skins were thick as a carpet and the whole dish an oily mess. The Caterpillar roll had paper thin unagi and was a sweet syrupy mess. The Ramen was decent but note a bowl could easily feed 2 adults and more. Service was... More

I came across a review on this restaurant so decided to try it - I love ramen! I reached the restaurant at 4.45pm and the place was nearly vacant. I was allowed to choose my seat. Service wasn't good - the young waiter lad was mechanical, takin down my char siu ramen order. My order took about 15-20mins to arrive.... More

Always a good time when I go here. Such nice and quick service, they treat you like family here. All if their Ramen dishes are really delicious and their BBQ Eel with a Spicy Tuna sushi roll hits the spot just right. This local spot that's been around for 10 years or so makes their noodles from scratch and strive... More

Loved it! We had ramen in miso, fried baby octopus, tuna Poki and a Hawaiian roll. Very fast and efficient service. Downstairs stays open even after the street level drops serving.
