If you don’t get scared by the Tenderloin neighborhood, it’s worth to dine at Jin Mi for a good Korean lunch or (early) dinner. They close at 8. Food is very good and service friendly.

We have been coming to this restaurant for about a year. It is a short walk from city hall or Civic Center Bart. The people that work here are very helpful and will explain the food to you.

We picked this place by its location one block from the Asian Museum of Art, and were pleasantly surprised by a very good Korean meal. Bulgogi, beef stew, and seafood pancakes were all great, and well-seasoned but not excessively so. Meals come with a nice assortment of small plates, which a cheerfully replenished. Lots of choices for mains, but nothing appetizer-size on the menu and no side veggies other than the small plates. The room is pleasantly decorated and was quiet when we dined there for an early dinner. We notice they do a huge take-out business. Most of the clientele are Korean, a good sign.

Lunch time can get challenging sometimes as one searches for inspiration. I was looking into sushi one day and found Korean food instead. So happy to have found a yummy place in the tenderloin area. I definitely will come back to try more next time. Service is good and prices are very reasonable.

Nice family run place. No fluff, just good food and friendly service. Inexpensive and very authentic. Bi Bim Bap comes in many varieties also regular or stone bowl. Just on the edge of the Tenderloin so not super sketchy but don't go wandering around after dark!!

Nice korean cuisine mixed with korean beer. It's simple and sufficient to satisfy your Korean craving. Not recommended for date nights though.

I usually skip the mini side dishes, but I found myself enjoying their sesame broccoli and potatoes. Their spicy fried chicken is too good we did 3 orders. The entire family (7) scarfed down their seafood pancake (mmmm!) and their tofu soup. Their bulgogi was yummy as well. I would return if only I live much closer. My sister would do delivery with her boyfriend often since they live close by. Their portions are fit for a family of 3 or 4 per serving (family style) so consider how much you can actually eat.

It was hard to convince my family to try Korean food, but in the end it was well worth it. The staff, which consisted of a cook, a waitress and a receptionist whom I assume is the owner of the place, was extremely friendly, even more so after I spoke a little Korean with them. It was only my first time eating Korean food but it definitely won't be my last. The wide variety of rice (밥) was absolutely delicious. 김치 (Kimchi) is also a must since it's a staple of Korean cuisine and it tasted amazing. Out of pure hospitality the staff offered us free Soju (소주) and Beer, I really appreciated that. I small talked and complimented their food in Korean to the best of my ability, they appreciated me doing so and it was fun to practise a bit, the waitress even recommended me to watch 시크릿 가든, a Korean drama show which I will definitely check out! (thanks!!) It was a pity they didn't have dessert but the owner assured me he would make something especially for me on my next visit, too bad I won't be able to visit again, but I would if I could. To the staff if they read this: Thank you for the wonderful time and I hope to visit again one day! 임식이 아주 맛이 있습니다!

Excellent food and excellent service! Had no plans but found this place by accident. Very fortunate accident. Not very used to tourists but handled everything perfectly.

Came here when we couldn't find parking for another Korean place, the place wasn't full but not empty. Service is good and friendly. It looks like a quick cafe-ish place more than a sit down place. The food is OK much cheaper than any korean place I known so I would give ot a 3.5 stars for that... but yelp doesn't allow you a half a star yet for very top secret and non negotiable reasons. The spicy pork was a little drier than other places but tasted ok. The food in general was ok nothing great but the positive thing is their prices!

My boyfriend and I stopped by here on New Years Eve. The cuisine was scrumptious and the wait staff very friendly. We drank a lot of soju and makkoli. Very pleasant experience.

We went to Jin Mi two times and tried various foods which taste authentically Korean, are freshly prepared and come with the side dishes that you would expect when eating out in Korea. Prices are rather moderate considering the food quality. The restaurant staff is actually Korean but speaks rather good English. The only slight minus point is the location -- due to its proximity to the Tenderloin, walking to Jin Mi can be a somewhat strange experience. But then, on the plus side, it is very close (less than 5 walking minutes) to Civic Center.

I live in a smaller town in Colorado, with no Korean restaurants, so I make it my mission to try some bibimbap in bigger cities with wider gastronomic tastes. And some diversity. Jin Mi was a block from the Civic Center park, on a rather, not so touristy street. Big windows and a fast food look to the place shouldn't deter you from trying this one out. Social media review websites (you know who they are) reviews are all over the place, but my service and food was friendly and fast. My bibimbap was perfect and the owner was a real hoot, chatting away with customers. The banchan (sides) were good as well and refills were offered. One small quirk, the public bathroom is through the kitchen. eek!
