Recently ate again at E Tutto Qua, and it's always a wonderful experience. The food is fantastic, and the wait staff wonderful. It really feels like being in Italy for the evening. You might think you ended up in momma's kitchen, with all her italian kids helping to serve. I always feel like part of the family when we go... More

We enjoyed a delightful dinner at this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by just how much atmosphere this place has. It was packed (good thing we had made a reservation!) and the waiters were singing in Italian and really created a fun and lively ambience. The service was very good... More

Came for a casual dinner. Greeted like old friends, friendly and courteous service, advice on wine and menu. The food was wonderful, we had antipasto followed by homemade pasta dishes. Loved the seafood squid ink pasta! The meals were huge, we had no room for dessert although it did sound wonderful.

Service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Food was so so... appetizers we're good but I expected better from the entree. The restaurant itself was fun but I was disappointed in the food.

Showed up on Sunday evening without a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. It was loud and lively which was fine with us. The wine was a bit warmer than I like but wonderful. The ravioli and fettuccine were very tasty and the right amount. The prices were appropriate. Silvio was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive.

On our recent trip to San Francisco , we wanted some great Italian food. ETutto was recommended as a possibility. We were greeted with enthusiasm as if we were part of the family. How nice.. However what we ordered was not great. I had the smoked salmon and fresh pasta and my friend has fresh vegetables over homemade Pasta. His... More

Great Italian food. Try the antipasto plate, and carpaccio for starters. Check out the daily specials. It's boisterous, friendly, with attentive energetic wait staff. The surrounding neighborhood with strip clubs might be off putting to some, but the area really is not threatening and the quality of the food and the fun vibe make this place worth a visit. You'll... More

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
