Excellent Italian Seafood..... good wine selection

Had a lovely dinner with another family at Perbacco. The food was terrific, especially their salads and appetizers. The wine selection was good as well..... the hosts created a fantastic atmosphere for us to enjoy a wonderful evening.

Had a lovely dinner at Perbacco with old friends. Try to sit upstairs if you want to be able to talk. Our waiter was terrific and accommodated our multiple requests (one friend arrived late and wanted his entree after the rest of us). Food was delicious, although the pasta portions are a bit small.

I ate at Perbacco twice on my most recent visit to San Francisco. The first time because it was so near to our hotel, Loews Regency, and it came highly recommended by the Hotel's Concierge. The second because the first experience was so good that I and my colleagues couldn't resist further exploration of the very fine menu. Whether fish,... More

Utilized Open Table for our reservations which were flawless. We were originally going to be seated in the middle of an aisle area but when asked if we could relocate where moved to a lovely 2-top table in a back corner. Service was excellent - delicious wine, butternut squash sformatino, raviora, seared sea scallops, pan seared beef loin.

I visited with a group of business colleagues. Everyone in our group thought the food was very good, and the desserts were wonderful. Service was attentive without being intrusive. This was a great choice for a business dinner.

One of my favorite restaurants in SF...great food for everyone, great wine list and 5 star service. It can get busy, so reservations are suggested. For business dinner or special occasion, it's a must try while in SF.

I don't get it. There was no flavor. The fish tasted fishy (3 of us ordered sea bass all of them didn't like it). I had chewy duck and two others had over cooked pork. Then we had pizza an hour later.

Our party of three gave the menu a pretty good sampling -- beet salad, octopus, vitello tonnato before the main course, then gnocchi with salumi sauce, beef served two ways, and papardelle with lamb. Then some delicious hazelnut gelato. All delicious -- even the gnocchi! Service just the right level of attentive. I'd recommend this place highly for a nice... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
