We had our food delivered to our hotel in Union Square which was super convenient. The food seemed fairly average in our opinion in comparison to some other places we had visited on our trip. If you want good delivery though, it was a nice, convenient way to go.

We used to order from this place at our office using a food delivery service and the food was really excellent. Very spicy as Szechuan food is supposed to be. The potstickers and Shanghai dumplings were excellent. I love dumplings so always order them at Chinese restaurants. I'm not a vegetarian but love their eggplant with garlic sauce. Spicy and... I was looking for a Chinese restaurant to eat at in Chinatown, and there were countless to choose from. This place looked cool, so I chose to eat here. It was not busy, and it seemed comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I liked the taste of my food, but it was a bit cold. Also, they did not serve... More

The girl who was at cashier had very bad attitude. I ordered the food to go and went there to take my order. She didn't care probably she wouldn't get any tips from to go orders.

We're locals and always looking for clean tasting Chinese food. Little Szechuan is delicious! We ordered three soups: Wonton, Vegetable Tofu, and Sizzling Rice, all delicious. Also ordered veges with fried tofu, again, delicious. I'm not sure about the physical restaurant, but delivery is divine.

The food was very good - the best Ma Po Tofu we've had. We did take out and the negative we had was that they forgot our rice, which made it interesting to eat the meal. A bit pricey for not much food, but again, tasty.

We loved the fried rice and crab Rangoon. We ate lunch here while exploring Chinatown. The prices are reasonable and the food is good.

Szchuen food was delicious, and quite authentic, having been to szchuen myself and being to other similar restaurants. Price for the food however was quite overpriced for what it was. Eg. Chicken dish which was around $16usd - you probably got around 15-20 pieces of little bits of chicken? Delicious? Yes Will I come back for it though? Nope

Ultimately, the food is not bad and actually was pretty good. Service on the other hand was atrocious. Let's start with the menu and servers. Almost none of the servers could either understand or speak English so they could not answer any questions about the menu. The menu offers no descriptions which makes ordering a challenge. We, fortunately, did have... More

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide and we ended up eating here three times in a week! The food was top notch, hot and delicious and the iced green tea was refreshing. The staff remembered us and were very courteous. The prices are very reasonable for SF and it is easy walking distance from the Financial District, Chinatown,... More

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
