Our lunch was simple, the daily special and a veggie burger, but the service was top notch. We were pleased with the prices and liked being in the heart of the Castro scene. Worth the stop.

Another one where I went twice. Great staff, good food and out of respect to the gay community you got to come to the Castro and check out the pics!

Harvey's is a great brunch spot. The place has a good view of the hood and the food is decent and improved much over the years. Bloody Mary's on a Sunday are perfect and Harvey's offers plenty of choice for you. The staff is pretty and some are actually really good too.

Location is great, service is good and the food is "just okay." The "fish and chips" was all batter with a few flakes of fish and they are only three miles from the bay! I guess all the water is gone and there are no more fish to catch? Also, my order was delayed and I was brought the wrong... More

I have a couple issues with this restaurant. The menu is heavy on fried foods and the staff can be weak. If you are not a young pretty boy then it is going to take a few minutes to get your order. Not a place I would visit regularly and don't add it to my list of options I offer... More

I visited Harvey's after going to the GLBT museum which is right up the street from the restaurant and they were soo good. I got a ranch wrap which had chicken, bacon and cheese. It was impeccable and not too expensive. The service was also pretty good. Would definitely recommend.

Great selection of drinks. Food selection was good but the best was our Host, Ty. He was fun personable and gave us great suggestions for having fun in the Castro district.

The food was really good and the server was really nice. The burgers were great so did the french fries. Great service and we got recommendations for the place to visit in Castro.

Had a Saturday night dinner here. Buffalo salad for me - it was okay, fresh with nice flavours but not spectacular. Calamari for my partner - tender squid that was crunchy but not a lot of flavour and it wasn't hot. We shared some sides - delicious sweet potato fries and really over-cooked, awful hush puppies (deep-fried corn bread balls).... More

Neighborhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighborhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighborhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theaters and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
