Ate here twice on my visit and had pho with tenderloin and beef balls in it. Some of the best pho I have ever eaten. The place was packed with locals most of them eating pho also. Looks like a dive but a must try!

As others have said, literally a hole in the wall! Cash only, with maybe seating for 12. My wife and I recently traveled to Vietnam and have been jonesing for the flavors since we got back. We found them here! We were only in town...More

Walking randomly around Chinatown after a couple of chinese mai tais at Li Po, we discovered this hole in the wall, which is tiny even by hole in the wall standards. The pho however was delicious, fresh and the taste reminded me of my time...More

Don't pay attention to appearance of "restaurant" otherwise you will never go in. And it would be a mistake because the food is very good and we eat real Vietnamese cuisine

This is literally a hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese place in Chinatown. It's cash-only and the menu is faded and limited. But the FOOD - so good and so fresh. Highly recommend. Yum!

Don't know what they're called, but the non-fried ones. Delicious! My friend had some veg-meat-bowl and thought it was tasty too. No fancy decor, which is what I expected for a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but my friend seemed not impressed. I will definitely go...More

No frills at all in terms of the restaurant decor, however the food is to die for. Incredibly fresh, tasty and authentic Vietnamese food. You absolutely will not be disappointed!

We visited this restaurant back in November 2010 and look forward to visiting it again next month when we journey back up to San Francisco to once again celebrate our anniversary. My husband asked me where I'd like to eat dinner one of the nights...More

This place is everything you expect in a sketchy Vietnamese restaurant, small, cramped with suspiciously dim lighting. The food however, for the price is amazing and I would doubt you can find better for cheaper. The Bun Cha is the shiz

You walk in and don't expect much. We stopped in just for a quick bite and I wish I would have eaten every meal during my time in San Fran here. We had spring rolls (two chicken and two shrimp). They were very simple and...More

As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's
Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique
neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic
streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs
awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on
dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who
gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or
practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands,
