Lovely food and free dim sum and green tea ice-cream at the end. Nicest lemon chicken I've ever tasted. Server was really rude. Pushy and made you feel like you should be ordering more. My boyfriend said the toilet was really dirty.

We ordered the Dim Sum menu and it was a lovely change from the normal menu items. Food was great and nicely presented. The service was poor. Our drinks never arrived and we battled to get the attention of a 3rd waiter to our table to get our drinks, which was not 100% right either. Some waiters also lack personality... More

My wife and I ate there for lunch earlier this week. My wife ordered a special roasted vegetable dish with garlic sauce on the side. She said it was excellent. I ordered beef with broccoli. Her dish came out and I waited and waited and waited. At least fifteen minutes went by and our waitress never even came by to... More

We expected to eat at Chinatown, but were confused with so many offerings. A coupon offering us free potstickers guided us to the Chinatown Restaurant. My husband and I ordered a Taste of China, which offers a sampling of appetizers, entrees, and a dessert. We enjoyed everything from our free pot stickers, to spring rolls, wrapped prawns, steamed shrimp dumplings,... More

At first I was loving this place. Complimentary dumplings and sparkling water served in wine glass with lemon ;) the good however took quite a long time and my husbands food was brought out at least 20 minutes before mine at which time he had finished eating and I had filled up on fried rice :( so I was quite... We ordered a family style meal. The sweet and sour pork was excellent. The other beef dishes were ok - a bit tough and chewy. The soju cocktails were a fun treat. What frustrated us was being charged for water. At the end of the meal, they automatically included a tip. We did not appreciate the tip being added for... More

Young people on the street handed us a coupon for this place, purported to be the oldest restaurant in Chinatown. Nice sit-down atmosphere, tables on the balcony which were already taken, quick-footed waiters bustling about. But the dim sum was no different from what I can get back home at the neighborhood Chinese Buffet. The pork dumpling was a little... More

Please I advise to go somewhere else. The food was cold and flavorless and service was even worse! Really expensive too! It was $80 for two people for just 2 entrees and they had guts to charge us for tap water! And on top of that she included $20 of tips! We were really upset we left without giving her... More

We were trying to find a different restaurant but as it was full we ended up here. I agree very expensive for what you get. My husband had the lettuce wrap with chicken and he was supposed to get 6 lettuce leaves and on,y got 5 , when he asked for another 2 the waitress said it would cost an... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
