We ate dinner here. As we entered with our party of 6, I asked if we seat ourselves (saw no sign directing us). We were quickly told to find a spot. Diners share tables. I said we had 6. I was told to look in the back. There were no tables for 6 right away. A second person told me... More

We love stopping in for an original Irish Coffee when we are in town. The place is very busy but it seems that you can get a table fairly quickly, since most people just get a coffee and then are out the door. We sat right at the bar when the bartender was making the coffees, he was friendly and... More

This place has some character and they make a good irish coffee. It's worth stopping at to grab one (or three) of those if nothing else!

This place is super busy and so service is haphazard. Packed more as a result of reputation and location than food. Food is fine but not great - bowl of chili was our favourite.

I went here to try a drink that a friend of mine raved about - The Gin Fizz - ok it is an acquired taste but the drink is really good and very filling so please try not to try one before a meal. To watch the bartenders make the famous Irish Coffee is like watching an artist paint. Sit... More

I think everyone who visits SF goes here. Mostly tourists. Very crowded. Just okay but all I had was the coffee.

This is a bustling cafe and bar famous for being the birth place of the global Irish coffee phenomenon. Seating is either at the bar or at shared tables along the street front windows. Table seating allows the drinker/diner to observe all of the activity at the cable car station. Their trademark Irish coffee is truly great, and not short... More
