Great cosy bar with loads of atmosphere. Very good wholesome food but not an extensive menu. Very friendly staff. We ate here twice in our 3 day visit to the City.

Chaotic yet lively, this pub's Irish coffee is a whole event to watch. Loved the rustic brick look and the bars (despite how busy it was) were all very clean and not sticky at all. The staff were all welcoming and nice, and managed to...navigate everything even though it looked confusing since people were popping back n' forth. The Irish coffee game isn't a schtick either, it's very good; very worth the trip.More

Great atmosphere! Super busy but employees are very attentive. Bartender making Irish coffees was awesome to watch. The World Famous Irish Coffee tasted great. Food was delicious.

This place is famous for its Irish Coffee, and deservedly so! The bartender makes each one like an art project. They are the best and very tasty!

After reading the hype about the Spanish coffee, we came just for that experience. The bar seating was full, so that means seated at a regular table. That means no chance to see the bartender work his magic and make a string of coffees all...in a row. I even walked up to the bar, twice, and waited patiently, and the camera was ready. But it wasn't busy enough. He was just making individual drinks. The coffee itself was nice but not in a very large glass. This led me to unfortunately put this under the topic of tourist trap.More

I was a bit war of a tourist trap but maybe it's a tourist trap for a reason - the crab cakes were superb: fluffy and tasty. Friendly attentive service. Also, Irish coffee.

You do not want to miss this spot! The food was delicious with large portions, the famous home of the Irish Coffee was impressive, the charm and feel of the building felt authentic and quaint, but most importantly, the staff here are AMAZING, friendly, and...welcoming. Ryan was truly one of the best! This is now my new favorite place when visiting San Francisco, and I plan on telling everyone I know about it…. You need to go!More

I come here every time I am in SF. Used to be a great place for a beer, some food and, of course, an Irish coffee. What can I say? The service used to be so good but now it seems they really don't care....We were seated in an area we really did not want to sit in because they did not want to take up a large table. They wanted the bar kept free for drinks only. They left us for 20 mins. I had to keep asking where our server had gone! By all means go and sit at the bar for a coffee but don't bother trying to eat there......More

As advertised! I missed this place on first trip but not again! I had the country Benedict and a couple of their world famous Irish coffees-both phenomenal! Place was happening on a Saturday morning at 10am but service and atmosphere couldn’t be better!

Great for an Irish coffee or full breakfast. Indoor and outdoor seating. Restaurant has a lot of character. Attentive, friendly staff. Close to close car stop, Lombard street, Ghiradelli square and the waterfront.

Great little bar near the waterfront that’s located at the start of the cable car ride up into the mean streets of San Francisco, When we visited the Tullamore Distillery in Ireland they mentioned this place as being the authentic home of the Irish Whiskey...and it did not disappoint. Best place to sit is at the bar itself where you can see them being made. I’d recommend a couple of them just to make sure the first was as good as you thought it was. Staff and customers were all great but that’s what you’d expect in an Irish bar 😊More

Traditional bar restraunt which lived up to it's reputation. It was busy but able to sit at the bar to eat which added to the American experience for us. Portions quite large food very good

It's always crowded, that's why it a famous place to go. Tables turn over pretty fast though. Not the best place for kids, but there's no reason why you can't take them with you.
