Ran up to the sit down part of Boudin's due to craziness on the streets. Nice area upstairs & view of Alcatraz was cool. Old fashion was strong & large for the price. Best thing we ate was spinach dip with crab...loads of sourdough bread left me ready for a nap! If you want killer seafood; come to my home... More

Fascinating place with loads of history. We watched them at work through the window. They even have a museum there. We saw people eating chowders our of bread bowls so thought we'd pop in for lunch. So glad we did. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. Definitely on the to do list when visiting the... More

This place is a must while in San Francisco) breads are so good! Suggest the chowder bowl with sourdough bread! There is a tour also of how the bread is made.

We went looking for a place to enjoy a seafood bread bowl and were directed to Bistro Boudin near Pier 39. To start the restaurant was sleek and modern with open views of the pier and windows that let you peer at the bakery hard at work creating the bread bowls and various other bread creations like alligators and bears.... We were looking forward to dining at Bistro Boudin - the upstairs full-dining restaurant above the counter service cafe at the Wharf location (not Pier 39). However, our waiter acted like he wanted to be anywhere but there, not offering to refill our drinks and acting annoyed that we had our young son there who ordered his own food and... More

Neat place- fun to see the bakery in operation, service was a little slow, we had reservations and were seated promptly. Fish n Chips was great (flaky breading that didn't seem heavy or over oily - bread bowl of chowder was okay- not much seafood in the seafood chowder ;(

$1 oysters were great. Calamari also good. Bread lived up to its expectation. We went in happy hour so selected bar food and drinks were cheap.

The sour bread bowls of clam chowder are to die for. They are exceptional and so is the service. We really enjoyed our meal here and they also validate your parking if you're parked behind the restaurant.

Thank Brad Z
