We had the crab benedict. The food was cold and not very good. This was like a take out breakfast place and service was average. We also bought some pastries and they were excellent and the coffee was good. There weren't many good places to eat in the building, so we ate in their outside dining area. It was dirty... More

We stopped in because we were craving pizza. The pizza is on the smaller side and it is oval in shape. Was not enough for 2 but with the basket of sourdough you get as well, it will fill the rest of your belly. Service was ok, a little on the slow side but no terrible. It did take 15... More

We arrived there near closing time I believe but they were very courteous and seated us upstairs with an excellent view of the piers. We ordered the famous and delicious clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl and were not disappointed! We also had some drinks and I must say the service is excellent!! Our waiter was terrific and very prompt... More

We've been to Boudin's Cafe and Bakery plenty of times but had never been to the Bistro upstairs. WOW. Excellent food, great service, a great San Francisco experience! Totally different menu than downstairs, with the exception of the chowder in a bread bowl.

The restaurant is mainly the way I remember it. The bread was fantastic as always. Unfortunately the menu has changed and doesn't accommodate for vegans and the vegetarian options were limited. I always come here for the tomato soup. The upstairs bistro was unwilling to bring soup from downstairs upstairs. I ended up with a margarita pizza, which is not... More

We ate here twice during our stay in San Francisco. Great food, friendly staff and fab views of the bay and Alcatraz. I would particularly recommend the Fish and Chips - delicious!! The bread (which of course the bakery is famous for) is also really good.

This place has been my ritual lunch\brunch spot when I'm in San Francisco for the past several years. I order various things. This last time it was the pepperoni pizza. I was massively disappointed. It was a Pepperoni, Onion, and Tomato pizza. Not a Pepperoni pizza. It does say in the fine print that it has the other things so... More
