I ate here with my family because we wanted sourdough bread from San Francisco. The location we visited was on Fishermans Wharf. It was pricey for bacon & eggs but it seemed like the thing to do. The employees were nice and the restaurant was clean. The bathrooms are located outside the restaurant and are public bathrooms. They have sourdough... More

My friend and I were exhausted after a day of sightseeing, and hopping (not really) on and off the tour bus. We were happy to see Boudin. During a 30 minute wait, we watched bread being made and learned about the history of sourdough bread making at the attached "museum". Sandwiches, fries and beer hit the spot. the place is... More

We stopped in for a quick lite lunch and had a great grilled cheese sandwich. This place is a very busy tourist stop so plan on waiting in line. There are tables outdoor so you may want one of your party members to grab one while you take care of ordering. You must try either a sandwich or soup bowl.... More

Three of us had a lovely meal at Boudin's upstairs at the Fisherman's Wharf restaurant. Food was delicious very good service. Loved the chowder in the bread bowl and bought some of their wonderful bread from their downstairs outlet.

The good things about Bistro Boudin are its location at Fisherman's Wharf and parking is free at the rear parking lot with a ticket validated by Bistro Boudin. Outside of that prices were high (normal for restaurants on the wharf) and the food was not exceptional (I have eaten there on three different occasions). Nothing special about either their clam... If you love sour dough bread this is the place. By far the best. The chowder bowl is a good way to enjoy some great chowder and great sourdough bread. Good view and good place to eat.

Got into SF and we wanted to stop by Boudin's near the Wharf. If you're on a budget, order from the cafe on the lower level. Plenty of seating as well. We decided to eat at the restaurant, which is upstairs on the 2nd level. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to stay inside. The food was... More

There are a number of Bistro Boudins around San Francisco. We visited the Fisherman's Wharf location. I enjoyed clam chowder and a burger. My wife said the flank steak was excellent. Not gourmet - just good food. Varied menu provides many options for families.

2nd time in San Fran, 2nd time here. Both times we've gone upstairs to eat, you can sit outside, get a great view of the pier front and enjoy a cocktail. My boyfriend had the signature sour dough laof with clam chouder - amazing. I went for Mac N Cheese with Crab - also amazing. Great portion sizes, good cocktails.
