We were staying around the corner and thought the menu here looked much more interesting that diner. It is a busy place on weekend but we secured table by window with view of cable car and nob hill. Good service and interesting well prepared egg dish. Fair price for quality and solid service particularly given how busy the place is.... More

The restaurant has been there for 78 years, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We only had breakfast (twice), but the dinner menu looked very good.

I have had breakfast here many times while in SF on business as the food is excellent. This month I had dinner there and was not disappointed. I had salmon, which was prepared perfectly, the spices were subtle, enhancing the flavor without overwhelming the fish, which was very fresh tasting. Roxanne Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in San... More

What great smells when you enter, the chef does Italian and American cooking right. Nice small (about 50 seats) cafe 2 or 3 blocks up Powell Street from Union Square, with a cable car stop on the same corner. Can get pretty busy during summer touristy times, but they do take reservations so go for it. Great food, great service,... More

We stopped by for breakfast. This place is so warm, our server Sonya was super sweet. The omlettes and scrambled eggs are delicious. Definitely coming back!

The cafe is well placed in the Nob Hill area and open early for breakfast and is a delightfully quaint, almost French style. There are a number of nice breakfast options but no gluten free bread available so it works out rather expensive if you cannot have the toast. My meat was also cold and not heated through properly. Staff... More

Roxanne is a nice little restaurant on Powell where you can have dinner and watch the cable cars pass-by. It is an unassuming restaurant where you will immediately feel comfortable. Service was casual but very good. Expect to pay about $20 to $40 per person for dinner.

We were eating dinner nearby and arrived early for our reservation. That restaurant did not have a bar or place to wait, so we went to Roxanne Cafe, to hang out. They do not have a full bar, but we enjoyed a glass of wine. The only place to sit is at the bar, which, for our purposes, was fine.... More
