Actually made it to 3 different locatons during the stay (including the United terminal at the airport) and all were excellent and tasteful. One was actually run in conneciton wtih a Capital One Bank and was an interesting blend of bank and coffee. Better than Starbucks in my opinion and my wife who has not drunk coffee for 5 years... I live and walk through SOMA to get to work in the Financial district. I wake-up fresh and enjoy the walk through the less crowded deep-SOMA streets until I am forced to work my way up to Market Street and deal with massive human influx situations. As with Socrates and Heidegger and their walks, this walk allows me to build... More

Three coffees and a banana nut muffin for under $10! This peninsula shop close to 101 gave us all a smile with their quick, friendly service and wonderful coffee.

I have been going to Peets for 20 years and have been regularly satisfied over those 20 years. It doesn't matter which one I go to now. Emeryville, Downtown Oakland, Berkeley on Shattuck. The San Francisco Locations. Peets performance is disappointing. Here's the back story. I've been buying Arabian Mocha Java beans ground #5 a half pound at a time.... More

We visit California from the UK every year and used Peets a lot. However, was disappointed to find toilets in both Piedmont and Fourth St pretty disgusting. I won't go into details in print, but no rest in those rooms.

In walking around DC, found a Peets coffee, could not wait to go there for a real cup of coffee. Since it was so hot there, I had an iced coffee, a Javiva! Refreshing and hit the spot.

I ended up at Peets during some sort of "happy hour" if you will but there was only one customer ahead of me and behind me. Even so, the staff rushed through making the orders quickly. Talk about the item received not looking like the photo on the advertising poster...there was one tiny squirt of whipped cream, the drink wasn't... More

The price is higher than Starbucks , the coffee taste is so bad , I trashed them away , can't even drink. If it has zero , I want to rate them zero.

Always terrific and fast service. For those who want them, a surprisingly large number of pastry and food choices, Nice outdoor seating for pleasant people watching.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
