I've headed to some truly amazing places over the years in Paris, London, Sydney and Asia and this is in the best 5. Superb food, great service and wonderful dining room and drinks. The tuna carpaccio with quail egg turned a non-tuna lover away from the dark side. Also loved the partridge dish and sashimi. The wine pairing was superb... More

Had a great micro-dinner at the bar at MM. Short on time and needing some great food and beverage - hopped on a bar stool, ordered a "Other Borough" and WOW - incredible blend of great boozy cocktail made by hand in a high energy, customer facing, world class cocktail artist - complete with gold flakes on my ice cube!... Went here for a drink after eating at Perbacco down the street, and ended up wishing we had eaten here. The service was great and the décor is very nice. Meghan was our server at the bar and she is absolutely amazing at her job. Will definitely be back for more.

The dinner was awesome. We had a series of courses which were amazing. The beef was super tender it melted in the mouth. Every details was perfect. Also the selection of wine to accompanying the dishes was fantastic.

Had dinner with my friends. Food were great and service very professional. We were allowed to bring our own red wine and they just charged a small open fee.

I've eaten much better food elsewhere so I can't honestly give this a five star. One course I simply couldn't eat. Left me feeling like I wouldn't want to come back. Pretentious.

San Francisco is an expensive city to visit, especially with the weak £, so we did hesitate to book this fine dining restaurant but once greeted by our excellent waitress Maggie who explained the menu in depth and with enthusiasm, we jumped in for the tasting menu. This was a flavour sensation but at $177 per head we can't give... More

This restaurant is one of my all time favorites!! Everything you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. The decor is stunning and the fresh flowers are out of this world! Every bite of food was delicious and every sip of their speciality cocktails were sublime! Service was attentive and knowledgable. This will definitely be a go to restaurant when... More

We celebrated a graduation 🎓 with 3 couples at Michael Mina San Francisco. This place is awesome!! We had a round table and it was perfect! The wait staff is friendly and engaging. (We tend to be a bit boisterous!) The cocktails were so delicious and beautifully prepared. I had way too many! We opted for a pre fixe menu... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
