For 2 months I went to Atlas cafe for lunch, right after climbing for a few hours in mission cliffs. Great combination of coziness, good food and comfort.

We return year after year...good healthy food, great range of choices, super atmosphere. The little patio is a favourite area for us.

I passed Atlas any number of times figuring it would be the usual greasy, fat food in a dingy environment. I was wrong. It's has a wonderful menu of some very healthy and unique foods. The place is clean and fairly open with a nice patio. Lots of people were there. You order at the counter, sit down, and wait... More

We went in the evening with the kids and had a really good meal while listening to really good live music. It was both very convivial and very tasty.

Fantastic little place for a nice and fresh lunch. Everything is prepared right in front of you, sandwiches, salads and plates. On Sunny days get to enjoy the terrace and have a break in your busy day.

We were hare after arriving San Francisco and had some pizzas. The staff was friendly and quick, and there was a jazz jam that created a supernice and laidback experience. The menu is quite simple, but it covered all of our needs.

We needed a quick bite and there was a parking space right next to Atlas, so why not? We had an excellent grilled cheese sandwich, and an excellent Tombo tuna sandwich. The ingredients in both were fresh and tasty, and were good-sized. Excellent food aside, I had some quibbles with the service. The kitchen seemed to be backed up so... More

The title says it all. This is literally one of the best sandwiches! I come here ofter for lunch, either to pick up an order or eat on their back patio with co-workers. Sometimes the food can take a little but it's well worth the wait!

Neighborhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.
