First time for everything. The inner of the bread loaf is removed and used as a one piece side. The bread then filled with Chowder which is great. Served with a bottle of Chardonnay with and outside table enjoying sounds from the most incredible busker...More

I sampled the sourdough bread bowl with chilli- which was delicious. It really is customary whilst in San fran, to sample a sourdough loaf! It's worth being nosey and poking your head in this place to lay eyes on the range of charming creations that...More

We all wanted the bread bowls filled with clam chowder. It was very good - the bread was delicious and the clam chowder was above average. We also ordered the spinach crab dip which was served with more bread. It was very rich - and...More

This is a great eat-in restaurant/gift shop/tour of the bakery stop! It takes about 30-45 min. for the self-guided tour & it's VERY interesting!

We ordered a cinnamon roll, chocolate twist, crab wrap, and yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. The cinnamon roll had clumps of sugar on it which wasn't necessary. The chocolate twist was probably the best thing we had. The crab wrap was just ok, and the...More

We couldn't resist as we walked by. I loved seeing all the different figures made out of dough in the window. We ordered the sourdough pizza and chili in a bread bowl. Both were delicious! Great location.

Famous for their bread bowls and rightfully so. The chowder was nothing great. Maybe being from New England I am spoiled with great chowders. Bakery had very good selection and gift items. Iconic stop and worth the historical info as well.

Only food product more fashionable than sourdough is gluten-free stuff! Double edged sword for coeliac's disease suffers because it's all expensive stuff at the moment. Anyway, they have a wide ranging menu and gift store... More
