Having eaten in the usual mixture of restaurants in North Beach, the family wanted to sample somewhere more typically American. Our hotel concierge recommended Loris Diner. Previous reviews were mixed but we decided to go for it. When we visited late on a Monday afternoon, the diner was pretty empty. Service was very good and the menu typically American. Our... More

Went only BC it was late and everything else close was mobbed. The kids French toast was fine but my Tuna melt was kinda gross and my $11 Cesar salad was tiny. I know it's in the heart of tourist alley but Def not worth the $$. Totally a last resort.

I don't know about other meals, but their breakfast is fast and American. The service is friendly and competent. They have a nice selection with big portions.

Quite authentic and fun 1950's diner. Food choice was good, service was efficient and the place was full with a good vibe. Food was okay but it's pretty much what you would expect in a place like this. Take the kids.

I was here in 2004 and the experience was great fun! A retro restaurant with great food and atmosphere. However, times have changed. Now it is a really loud, busy place. Service is busy and careless. No dialogue with waiters, no atmosphere left. Food was ok, but thats it. Not worth a visit. There are great burgers and shakes elsewhere...

Fun throwback diner! The food was okay, mostly down home type dishes, but the atmosphere was great. Our waitress was good even though it appeared she was waiting on half the tables in the place.

Place to visit just to look and enjoy the ambiance. Food was so so. Ihop was better. Took a lot of cool pictures with my girlfriend. Car in the middle of the diner and staff was friendly. No complaints really wished menu was more than the ordinary.

Breakfast here was fine and service good. But I have to mention the Black Tie cake... rich and moist and decadent!! Dropped in after an evening at nearby theater, in search of something sweet. Now I think I have a new, favorite indulgence.

Terrible french fries fried in ancient oil, potato skins microwave heated, mediocre quesadilla. Not a good experience.

Had dinner at Lori's with a friend. The restaurant is centrally located a block away from Union Square. I agree with other comments at trip advisor that it fells a bit tacky. We both ordered burgers, and the quality of the burgers did not impress me, the meat was overcooked and the cheese and bacon did not taste anything. Service... More
