Stopped in for lunch with some work friends. I had some kind chicken salad sandwich I think. It was good. I enjoyed sitting outside in the nice air. I'd go here again, but I'd also likely try other places as there are so many to visit.

2006: Specialty's in San Francisco, CA. Besides market street, this little cafe is quite popular. If you are in the San Francisco area, definitely go to this cafe at least once and I would revisit by choice of good food.

I go in for breakfast and there is no half and half at the coffee station. When I ask for some I am told that they are out of half and half for the whole day. Seriously? You don't plan ahead AND you are incapable of identifying a solution throughout the course of a business day? I wager that the... More

Got boxed lunches from Specialty's for a group luncheon meeting. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty and ample in ingredients. Cookies were good, soft and varied in type. This is not fine dining, but they make a really honest product that met all of the needs and tastes of our group. Also, reasonably priced. Hard to beat.

The staff was exceptionally friendly. The coffee was hot and flavorful and the egg sandwich was filling and delicious.

Their pastries are very good! I love the cinnamon roll and their chocolate cookies. Its so good that it is totally worth the millions of calories which it must contain. Coffee is good as well. Never tried anything else there. I like that they sell stuff from the previous day for half price, Its still delicious and I personally think... More

The coffee, baked goods and sandwiches are great. They cater as well. The wifi is free, a couple of comfy leather chairs, bar seating and tables.

After being on vacation for 5 days and having tried different unique foods and places, we were so happy to have a wonderful place to have a yummy breakfast in a friendly environment. My family of 5 all found food that they liked (a small miracle) and were happy with their choices. I would highly recommend.

Always go back for their cookies, soups, and sandwiches - the peanut butter chocolate chip rocks. They offer day old treats at a discount.

We had breakfast over there and we loved how fresh the sandwiches were. The portions were big, bread was super fresh, turkey tasted fresh too and the coffee was great. Cookies are the best you could ever taste especially with the macadamia nuts. Enjoy!

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
