Stopped by the bar after work to get a beer and some food. I usually love craft and organic beers. I tried 2 different beers here and they were ok but nothing would inspire me to recommend them to anybody else or come back again. Similar reaction to the food, I ate it but was not very exciting. Bartender was... More

Popped into the bar for a tea and deviled eggs, and tapas. Loved the casual design, low-key feeling and excellent fast service. I'll be back for dinner next time!

Heard about this place in a magazine in our hotel . It was only a 15 minute walk from our hotel so we went . The place is so popular but we got a table straight away . The drinks are brilliant if you like ale and if not theres lots more . Order the taster of berers which is... More

When the museum closes, walk across the street to Thirsty Bear. Tons of draft choices, flights, great appetizers and burgers. Seating is available on both floors. It's a great place to watch a game, too.

Was attending a conference and wanted a good place to eat, drink and watch the USMNT get whooped up by Argentina. What we got was a fun, hip restaurant that had a great selection of organic beers and wonderful tapas. A little something for everyone. Our customers were happy as well as us (sans the soccer match). A definite recommendation... More

In a private event (business) I got my stuff ( backpack, laptop and some small stuff) stolen even though the place have security cameras. Waiters and manager are very friendly.

This is not your typicaly brew pub. All beers are organic and wonderful, the tapas are great and the carmel sea salt gelato was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! We went back the next night, we enjoyed it so much.

We visited here 4 years ago and liked it. The food was pricey then but seemed fine at the time as it was good quality and the portions were just right. On our return visit we thought that we would give it another go. The beer was ok but at $8-10 a pint is overpriced. The food was disappointing and... More

They make their own beer and the tapas are really good. I really like this place. They also do a flamenco show on Sundays.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
