My boyfriend and I went here for breakfast. The food was delicious; croissant french toast and a ham cheese and courgette crepe, I would highly recommend. It is just one gentleman making all the food and he does a great job. Lovely atmosphere.

Good place for a quiet coffee and a book or a conversation. No WiFi - so no crowds looking for that. A small place, actually, so no buzz of dozens of voices. There is often good jazz playing quietly. The place specializes in crepes and...More

I had the eggs with the side of salad, fresh cubes potatoes, 2 eggs and a side of buttered toast. I also had the cappuccino also which the grounds were freshly ground so it was very fresh. The owner/chef was the only employee there so...More

Simply happened upon Higher Grounds by chance and was more than pleasantly surprised. Had the Croissant French Toast, which honestly can be great or disappointing, and it was definitely the former! My wife had the Classic Crepe and loved it. Great little spot!

Four of us had various different crepes all made by one man which was an amazing act of coordination! We all really enjoyed our lunches and the coffee was great too. There are also no straws and no ‘paper’ cups supplied here which is a...More

Ah, this place is lovely. No pretence, no attitude - anyone from anywhere can feel welcome. The food here is produced using a simple formula, and it works. We turned up at around 3.30 in the afternoon, but needed a substantial meal before heading to...More

This cafe was excellent. Mostly vegetarian options with a couple ham/chicken options. When we went there was one man who did everything. Work the register, cook and clean. He was fast for the amount of people there. The crepes were around 10-14 dollars. Savory ones...More

I love this tiny cafe. Their crepes never fail to disappoint. Today I feast on a shrimp cafe that included mushrooms and capers among its ingredients. As usual, it was too much for one sitting so I have a late afternoon snack/dinner. I love that...More
