I dined here 3 times during my stay in San Francisco. I was staying at a rental near the beach. Service and food are excellent. Schnitzel was very tender and served with apples and potatoes. Very good key lime pie in a jar. Half rotisserie chicken was very tender and flavourful too. Restaurant is located across from the beach and... More

Service by Carlos was very poor, was made to feel guilty for asking for a fresh tea because I was made to wait so long for milk it had gone cold. He also forgot entirely about the water we ordered for the child. The food arrived, mine was good however my partner got the French toast and was only served... More

Lovely brunch overlooking the Pacific (we lucked out and had a window table). On the main floor are WPA murals telling stories of old San Francisco and a docent can tell some tales behind the people and places.

Enjoyable views and comfortable patio make this a nice place for lunch on a sunny day. It is fun to share the patio with families, dogs, beach-goers and others. The food is standard bar fare. Service can be great or slow, but that is not the reason to go.The mural in the lobby from the 1930's is fun. Overall, a... More

Another site that has good views and good food. Usually easy to park and access. The views and food are not as good as at Cliff House, but still a good choice if looking for a meal with a view.

The restaurant has a first level outside dining area in the back that can be wonderful for lunch, particularly on cold clear crisp days in the winter. Their salads are good and their beers are interesting. The problem is the upstairs restaurant which can be quite pricey. I went there with my hubby to enjoy dinner and the sunset a... More

We walked out because they stuck us beside the stairwell at the back even though there were several other empty table available. My wife and I are 60 year old professionals and not homeless bums. When I expressed my displeasure, they offered to move us. However, why stay in a place that doesn't want you. Went to Outerlands instead and... More

Very crowded popular spot, it was dark when we arrived from our walk out of Golden Gate Park so we chose the downstairs area. Sat at the bar and shared delicious appetizers. Mac and cheese - outstanding! Also great crab roll and calamari. It was a perfect end to our fun day in the Park. So glad this historic building... More

This restaurant is located at the west end of Golden Gate Park, and the second floor dining room overlooks Ocean Beach. The service was mediocre and so was the food, especially for this area. San Francisco is known for its sourdough bread, so if you're looking for clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, look somewhere else (it's served everywhere).... More
