This cafe positioned in the Wharf with view to the bay is where we had breakfast on our first morning in the city. I had a hankering for pancakes and picked the chocolate chip ones. Sadly I was a bit disappointed. The pancakes were doughy and a little dry, needing more than you would ideally want of maple syrup. They... More

Standard fare. Fried fish, clams, oysters, etc. But everything was good. If you're at Fisherman's Wharf it's as a good a place as any to eat.

We only stopped for beers, and the bartender and server were complaining and swearing. We're both adults -- but found this very unprofessional and uncomfortable.

After the Alcatraz tour we walked up to pier 39 and ate at eagle cafe. We sat outside at the counter and faced out to the bay. It was a great food. We had the fried fish sandwich (cod) and that was very good. The BLT was the size of 2 sandwiches and it was good. The salads were very... More

If you want to eat with a view, eat here. If you want good service and good food, go someplace else. The food was terrible.

We first ate here in 1997 and have returned three times since only this time 2016 not so great. Cafe has changed a lot and has unfortunately lost some of its history. We had a late lunch, whilst the food was OK our server was a little grumpy. Would we return, probably not 🙁

Chose this cafe for dinner as they had views of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were given a window table which turned out not to be such a good thing as the sun shone directly into our eyes though the staff were very quick to lower the blinds when asked. Good wine list. Extensive menu, I had pasta and my... More

We came to The Eagle Cafe on our first day in SF, whilst waiting to go to Alcatraz. It's a nice, comfortable and airy place. Our waiter was pleasant enough but his attention to detail was a bit suspect - he brought my friend a Coke instead of the coffee he'd ordered. That aside, all seemed good. I ordered the... More

San Francisco Clam Chowder was Blan. No substitutions , so you had to have mashed potatoes with grilled seafood, could not get vegetables. The food was not terrible, I just expected more. Service was not good, waitress gave us dinner then never heard from her again, had to wave here down to get the check.
