Went to this restaurant with my daughter, who lives in the city and had heard wonderful things. It may be that we were there on an off night. Our visit was on a Sunday, and it was a busy holiday weekend (Labor Day), so I was surprised that there did not seem to be many people there. It is a... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant on the previous night and was charmed by the promise from the waiter of exceptional food and service, so decided to book a table for our special day. On arrival at the restaurant there was an air of stress and disorder. The lady disappeared and scurried around the, somewhat small restaurant, without comment to us... More

Very friendly staff - the host really acts as though he cares for his customers and that sets the seen. You start off with soup of the day - absolutely delicious, followed by the main course of your choice - both our choices (lamb and chicken) were heavenly.

So convenient for dinner pre show at the Masonic Auditorium. Cozy and friendly. Reasonably priced wine list. Good value with opting for Chef's Menu. Each course was delightful.

We were looking for a nice place, close to our hotel and had walked past Rue Lepic the evening before. We called to make a reservation, but being early in the week, it was probably not necessary. We were greeted by Giraldo at the door and he was our host and waiter for the evening. I'm not sure if he... More

This restaurant is a good neighborhood place near Nob Hill that serves very good if strictly traditional French food, heavy on sauces and cream. We had a meal with appetizer, soup, salad, an entree and dessert and the final bill was $200 for two including a bottle of wine and tip. A bit expensive.

My husband and I look for French restaurants when we visit S.F. We were impressed with the great service and fine meal we had here. Will return. The owner visited all the diners and knew several who seemed to be regulars. Small and intimate which we liked. We'll make it a regular stop on our annual S.F. visit.

Disappointed. Our waiter disappeared once we received our food. Tables were very close to each other so you could hear other people's conversation. I'm sure there are better French restaurants in the city. Over priced.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
