Had dinner there twice during our stay in San Francisco. Tried some different things (gyoza, teriyaki, ramen, udon) and everything tasted excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a simple industrial feel to it.

We liked this place so much we broke our rule that you never eat at the same place twice when traveling and went there for dinner two nights in a row. It's not fancy or big but it's a great simple place with amazing sushi....More
We had a lunch stop at Kippu which is a friendly unpretentious place by the Japan Center with lots of options for vegetarians
We both had Bento boxes (there is a wide range). Both were very good and reasonable value. The Miso soup was excellent
