Three of us visited this neighborhood Russian restaurant, two adults and one child. We shared at least a dozen dishes from the menu, and they were all fantastic. The borscht, the dumplings, stroganoff, and the crepe with cherry sauce were particular favorites. The service was helpful and friendly. We plan to return!

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Everything is always spot on! We live more than an hour away and it is worth the drive. I also enjoy when an owner/chef takes the time to visit in the dining room.

Small neighbourhood restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. Herring appetizers, borscht soup, piroshki's; all well recommended.

We've been to Katia's often over many years, but have yet to write a review. Russian food is usually categorized as being hearty and good, but not especially flavorful. Katia is able to take seemingly simple food and bring it up so many notches that it just becomes incredibly delicious. The shashlik is heavenly, along with all the other entrees.... More

We were weary on our feet after walking around SF all day and in the mood for healthy interesting food. Katie's fit the bill. It is a small business with just a few staff and Katia herself who came and sat at our table and talked with us which made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere of the restaurant reminded... More

Katya (the owner of Katya's) offers the best borscht and best cabbage rolls that I've ever tasted. Liked our pierogies and salads. Only a few tables so the service is attentive and with luck (we had it) Katya will drop by to chat with you.

This was my first experience with Russian food and is was very nice. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. While our waiter did take my aunt's plate before she was finished, the service was attentive. I would recomend this to friends and family as a nice alternative to the huslte and bustle found in other parts of... More

In San Francisco there is a little cafe where I was able to sit and remember happier times in Russia. I know for many it is hard to imagine an American happy in Russia. Let me assure you this is true. Katia's restaurant envokes such memories. Located in an area called Little Russia along Geary Avenue this neighborhood eatery resides... More
