Not my favourite Italian. They were having an issue with a homeless male but they all went out to deal with him so not seeing to their customers. My husband had a sea food pasta which is one of their signature dishes but I have allergies to seafood so I had the spaghetti and meatballs it was not great. All... More

Having just arrived in San Francisco we walked down to Fishermans Wharf looking for something light to eat. We decided on this restaurant and had the clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl with salad. Quick service and the chowder was creamy, thick and very tasty. Salad was good with the addition of pecan nuts making it more interesting As with most... More

Picked this place as it looked busy which is usually a good sign. Service from hostess was superb, service from waiter also good but drinks a little slow but am probably being a little picky. Ordered a variety of pasta, pizza and fish. All OK but nothing special. What one of our party called standard tourist fare. Thought it really... More

Expensive like any city is but the food was sub-par. Ordered a steak that was over-cooked and grisly.

Does exactly what is says on the tin. We were recommended to go here by Vlad from the wine tour. Excellent location on the seafront near the bustle of Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. The place was extremely busy but we were seated quickly. The atmosphere was buzzing and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The beer was delicious... More

Came here after a day of museum touring with the kid. Ordered their signature Cioppino. The wait staff is friendly with kids and generous with the breads. Although we came here for the cioppino but I find their clam chowder to be even better.

We were waiting for our Big Red Bus and wanted to grab a bite. Ciopinno's was across the street and we popped in and ordered a bowl of delicious claim chowder, sourdough bread, and a beer at the bar. Not only was the food delicious we caught happy hour and the claim chowder was $3.75 at the bar. Our brief... More

My husband heard about Cioppino's on ABC's The Chew, Mario Battali highly recommended it and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, decor was authentic, and the cioppino was everything we expected. The cioppino was enough for two, so we split a salad and the cioppino. We finished our meal with creme brulee and were off to Pier 39.

My family and I met friends at Cioppino's restaurant for lunch while holidaying in San Francisco. The food was very good and the service was good we enjoyed our lunch. I ordered the Cioppino seafood soup and asked for normal bread and not the hard sourdough. My friend recommended the combination pizza which he thoroughly enjoyed. The food is very... More

Well located at Fisherman's Whart near the Hyde Powell cable car terminus. Good sized portions, tasty but at a price - higher than the average. Quick, friendly service. Gets fairly busy at dinner time. Try the Cioppino for around $29. .

A Fisherman's Wharf Tradition. Fresh seafood and Italian fare, located right in the heart of it all. The best Cioppino in the city. Great food at reasonable prices.
