We had a simple but very relaxed lunch here. We chose a high table near the window just behind the bar and enjoyed the location as we watched the passing parade of people on the streets outside while being able to soak up the friendly vibrant atmosphere of the tables and the bar inside. The food selection was good and... More

at the end of the cable car line, we found ourselves in Fisherman's Wharf! decided to stop for supper - found Cioppino's... Efficient service - likely they get lots and lots of touristas (including us) - mom had the Cioppino (crab in the shell or out of the shell is optional) and I had the risotto... each bit of my... Have been here a few times on visits to SF. It is a solid option for Italian food. There are better places I'm sure (in terms of value and flavour) but this place delivers good quality Italian food with good service in a pleasant atmosphere. Would happily visit again.

We were strolling the Fisherman’s Wharf area and being around lunch time I decided to check the reviews in the area. We decided to give Cioppino's a try and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the signature dish -- CIOPPINO “Our signature dish. A bountiful seafood extravaganza of dungeness crab, clams, mussels, snapper, calamari, shrimp, and tomatoes braised in a... More

Good service, menu catered to all the family, quick, efficient and friendly. We walked in on New Years Eve without a reservation and it was no problem. Good location.

A family dinner on New Years Eve 2016. We went early and managed to get a table straight away. Our server was a lot of fun and looked after us all night. The food was pretty good and we all left feeling replete. I would go back here in the future.

We had a lot of trouble in SFO getting reservations for our large party during the Christmas -> New Year holiday visit. Cioppino's accommodated 12 people at 6pm and it was awesome. Food, wine, service, atmosphere....simply awesome. From steak to signature pasta dishes, I can't state how delicious and perfect it was. We had some fussy diners from aged 6... More

We wanted to eat a good lasagna. We thought, this must be a place where they know how to make it. It was really not good. Sauce, i'm sure, was NOT homemade. No flavour. Just bad. Mine was cold as well. I got a new one luckily. We took the fried calamari as appetizer. Nothing special. They weren't freshly fried.... More

The signature dish? Cioppino, of course. I've ordered cioppino at lots of different restaurants, so of course I had to get it here. It really did not disappoint. I liked the sauce and the variety of seafood (fish, clam, mussel, crab, shrimp) used. I personally prefer to have the garlic bread not soaked in the sauce but they also give... More

We ate there three times over a week - the food was excellent each time, especially the Shrimp Capellini. Service a bit slow on one busy night, but the restaurant was absolutely packed and there was a line waiting at the bar. My favorite family dining in SF - and reasonably priced too!

A Fisherman's Wharf Tradition. Fresh seafood and Italian fare, located right in the heart of it all. The best Cioppino in the city. Great food at reasonable prices.
