We went two times during our week stay in the area. Each time the food was delicious and we had friendly service, which seems to be hard to find in the area. We had the pepperoni, mushroom pizza and fried shrimp and I've never liked shrimp, but ordered it both times! The bread that is brought to you is delicious... More

Basically a tourist trap. Fisherman's Wharf is chilly in the evenings, so wanting to eat inside limited our choices unless prepared to wait. Overpriced food, and not exactly as ordered e.g. We ordered salmon but were given snapper. Food was OK, but not great. Expensive for what we got. Not recommended.

Had soup in a bread bowl. It was too small of a meal for the price - about 1-1/2 cups of soup for nearly $14. Personal pizza is a great size and filling. Good flavor.

Myself and twenty friends needed a real San Francisco style dining experience and we picked Ciopino's. They are on the wharf in a stunning location, just down from the Giardelli's factory mall and close to the Alcatraz tours. We decided instead of ordering individually we would load the table family style with appetizers and entrees. The pizzas had excellent crusts... More

Out of the four pis who visited only one was pleased with their meal. My lasagna was stone cold but when pointed out it was heated up for me. Daughter had gluten free butter pasta but that also went back as it was so bland it was inedible . Son went for the chicken sandwich but when asked to convert... More

Vacation in San Fransico from 6-29 to 7-8-2016 & my husband & I got to try so many great places to eat, Cioppino's was one of them. Right in Fishermans Wharf where we stayed. Had to try the famous dish "Cioppino'", if I have it right fishermen at the end of their work day we're all asked to Chip in... More

My son and I have pegged this as our favorite place to eat in San Francisco. We've been here 4 times and have left satisfied every time. My best meal here was the clam chowder bread bowl and a glass of crisp chardonnay with fried calamari to start. The fried calamari is always perfect. It's always tender, not chewy, and... More

We were tired at the end of our first day in San Francisco and just needed something to eat quite quickly. They were very very busy but said we could have a table in 10-15 minutes (I thought that was a bit optimistic but they were spot on!). We stood at the bar and had a drink while we waited... More

This place was just how I imagined a bar/restaurant in San Francisco to be like, busy, noisy and fun. The place was packed but they found us a table. The place had a great atmosphere and the staff were extremely friendly, the food was pretty good too.

A Fisherman's Wharf Tradition. Fresh seafood and Italian fare, located right in the heart of it all. The best Cioppino in the city. Great food at reasonable prices.
