A Fisherman's Wharf Tradition. Fresh seafood and Italian fare, located right in the heart of it all. The best Cioppino in the city. Great food at reasonable prices.

Fresh sea breeze, great food, good service...real Italian taste..what else can you ask for? Go for the pasta with clams and the clam chowder.

My husband and I just arrived in San Francisco and decided to get something to eat down by the wharf. We were recommended by our Lift driver to go to Franciscan, but we chose to keep walking and see what else was around. We stumbled...across this place and were sold by their outdoor seating area and menu. So glad we stopped. Jesus, our waiter was fantastic! I had the salmon BLT and Jesus offered to replace my fries with fresh roasted veggies. My husband had the Fisherman's Platter. Mine meal was surprisingly relishes; his was good, but nothing overly special. The lemonade, however, was something to write home about! On a side note, they were very professional when it came to Covid safeguards.More

I eat here fairly regularly. While the namesake Cioppino is fantastic, don't overlook the Clam Chowder, or wood-fired oven pizzas—both equally excellent! They have an amazing outdoor patio (probably the biggest I've seen in Fisherman's Wharf) with ample group seating.

We'd had a couple disappointing bowls of chowder on the wharf and were finally just looking for a *good* chowder. We stopped in (having been in about 20 years ago) and were not disappointed. All the food we ordered was solid good, the staff was...personable (although they seemed both short staffed and not very busy), and drinks were good. We got our chowder fix and were happy campers :)More

Mostly fish with Italian Flavor. With the Covid, they are serving on the sidewalks and the adjacent alleyway. It’s fine. The food is great. We had the salmon and the spaghetti with meatballs. Despite being so far away from the kitchen, the service wasn’t at...all slow. This is a great place to eat when at Fisherman’s Wharf.More

Stopped here for lunch before exploring Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Glad we did! The outdoor patio was inviting and we got lucky with great weather. Our server, Martin, was friendly and offered some suggestions when asked. Everyone in our party of 4 enjoyed their...meal which included linguini with shrimp, linguini with clams, shrimp tacos and a bowl of clam chowder. Definitely recommend Cioppino's.More

In this time of reopening and outside dining, Cioppino's is doing a great job of balancing safety of staff and customers with good service. The food is really good -- especially for such a touristy area and the location can't be beat. Check 'em out!

We had made reservations here before we left home because I wanted to eat here and did not want to have problems getting in. Not busy the night we went. Cioppino was delicious with all kinds of delicious seafood. My husband had chicken parmesan which...was huge. Enjoyed our meals.More

I had shrimp cesar salad and my friend had fish & chips. It was a quick visit for lunch and everything was excellent from the friendly staff to the tasty food.

This place is located near the wharf in a busy touristic spot in San Francisco. The food is actually quite good considering this a high tourists area. Food is made form fresh ingredients and flavorful. Service es good and prices were fair considering size of...servings and location.More
