Small restaurant, friendly staff. I was looking forward to loving it since I love Cuban food. I came for pasteles but they had run out so I took the Mofongo to go, to try their stuff (my first visit). I have made mofongo before that were tenderer by far and more flavorful. Theirs were thick, dry, low on flavor to... More

Traditional Cuban and Puerto Rican food with fast service. Friendly staff is welcoming. We loved the chicken empanadas, the beef are great too. The gandules are worth a try and the house made sangria is refreshing. The owners are super nice and take pride in their resturant.

I love this small little restaurant. The service is always friendly and they have the best black beans...just like mom used to make. Make sure to get the Mamey batido , a smoothie of a tropical fruit named mamey. Very buttery and yummy

We're suggested to try El Nuevo Frutilandia by a good friend who billed it as the best Cuban restaurant in San Francisco. With such high expectations I'm pleased to say that the food or service did not disappoint. The fruit juices are fresh and well balanced, the food was very tasty. Lightly spiced but again well balanced. Service was genuinely... More

Decent plate meals but what really catches my attention is the awesome Cubano sandwich. In a world grown so grotesque that idiots can call dijon mustard a standard ingredient for a Cubano sandwich this is the real authentic deal. Never crowded which is good because staff is small.

We had a very pleasant experience - the food was great and so was the service. The juice/smoothie was also quite a good choice.

Our group of friends had a great time here. Both the red and white sangria are refreshing and beautifully made. The tapas dishes are great serves and full of flavor. If i make it back to San Francisco I'll eat here again!

Living in LA it's hard to find a good Puerto Rican restaurant. If you are ever in SF I would definitely recommend coming here. Good food, Good music. The waitress was very attentive
