The wife sleeps in so I need to fend for myself early mornings. We stayed in the hotel and this was closest. I had an omelet with toast and tea. It was good, but I do better. I had enough left to take some back to the room. Tab was $40. Be careful with the bill. A tip is already... More

We were staying nearby and decided to try the restaurant at The famous Fairmont Hotel, one day for a light lunch (very good value) and the next time for dinner, after checking out a couple of places which were either too noisy or booked out, and we were very glad we did. The setting is delightful, the staff helpful and... More

So maybe I indulged my tastebuds a bit by having a little taste of all the things that I enjoyed...fresh coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice (I passed on the smoothies); freshly made waffles and fresh raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries; an egg white omelet with an exquisite mix of mushrooms (that I saw the chef chopping),tomatoes, onions, and crab meat;... This restaurant provides an excellent dining experience. The breakfast buffet was very hearty. It offers wide variety of choices, from continental breakfast to hot breakfast. There's a cook who will make your omelet any way you want it. I had mine sunny-side up! Dinners were romantic. The background music coming from the Grand Piano was pleasant. Our food were prepared... Liked this hang a lot. Big open atmosphere and whether you are in the hotel or not, you will feel nod comfort here before or after your evening begins or ends. Old school feel, classic lounge and fair prices. It feels very elegant in this space.

Its always a great place to meet business colleagues after a full day of activities. A great range of McCallan Scotch and a great Hot Chocolate after to warm up.

We dropped in after a day in Golden Gate Park. What a fine place to enjoy cocktails and excellent bar fare. The Pomegranate Poloma is de rigeur.

My daughter and I spent the weekend in San Francisco and decided to have dinner at the Laurel Court and Restaurant & Bar. Best decision we could have made. Service was fabulous and the food delicious. The crab macaroni and cheese was amazing!!! We'd go back just for that!

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
